The Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP) is a political party in India launched on 6 December 2012. [1] Pravendra Pratap Singh is the national president of Bahujan Mukti Party. [2] [3]

Merger proposal with Loktantrik Janata Dal

A merger with Loktantrik Janata Dal (founded on 6 December 2012) was proposed but was called off and was set up as a political wing of All India Backward (SC, ST, OBC) and Minority Communities Employees' Federation (BAMCEF). Bihar elections 2020

As of 2020, the party was preparing for the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election for which it formed alliance with former MP Pappu Yadav, Chief of Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party, Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan to form Progressive Democratic Alliance, but failed to secure any seat. [13] [14]

Uttar Pradesh election 2022

Considered a smaller party in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, [15] the Bahujan Mukti Party has fielded its candidates in some areas including the Mahoba and the Auraiya. [16] [17]

Raghuraj Pratap Singh,, commonly known as Raja Bhaiya, is an Indian politician, currently serving as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the 18th Uttar Pradesh Assembly, representing the Kunda assembly constituency of Pratapgarh. He has been elected as an MLA for the seventh consecutive time since 1993 from the same constituency. In 2018, he founded and became the national president of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik party. Singh has held various Cabinet Minister positions in the Government of Uttar Pradesh of both Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party administrations.

Sharad Yadav was an Indian politician from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party. He was elected to the Lok Sabha seven times and to the Rajya Sabha four times from JD(U). He was the first national president of Janata Dal (United), serving from its formation in 2003 until 2016. He was disqualified from the Rajya Sabha in 2017 and removed from party leadership positions for engaging in anti-party activities.

Dara Singh Chauhan is an Indian politician, currently serving as member of legislative council, and formerly represented the Madhuban in Uttar Pradesh as a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He was former Cabinet Minister in Yogi Adityanath ministry. He also represented Ghosi in the 15th Lok Sabha, where he was leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party. In 16th Lok Sabha, he was defeated by Harinarayan Rajbhar who represented Bharatiya Janata Party by more than 140,000 votes.

A long-time parliamentarian, he was a seven-time Member of Parliament representing Mainpuri, Azamgarh, Sambhal and Kannauj constituencies in the Lok Sabha, a ten-time member of the Legislative Assembly, member of the Legislative Council and the Leader of Opposition several times as well. Yadav was a prominent figure of his time in Indian politics, and was often referred to as Netaji and sometimes Dhartiputra by his party leaders and workers. In 2023, he was posthumously conferred with Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian award by the Government of India.

Indra Pratap "Khabbu" Tiwari is an Indian politician and a former member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He had represented the Goshainganj constituency as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate in the 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. He is a former member of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party.
