Jaspal Singh Sandhu is an Indian film director, writer and producer. [1] [2] [3] His films include Angrej (2015), Afsar (2018), and Vadh (2022). [4] [5]

Career

Punjabi film industry

In 2015, Sandhu made his debut in Punjabi film industry with the film Angrej starring Amrinder Gill, Sargun Mehta and Ammy Virk. [6] In 2016, he produced the film Love Punjab starring Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta. [7] In 2017, he contributed as co-producer in the film Lahoriye , as producer in the film Vekh Baraatan Challiyan and Bhalwan Singh. [8] In 2018, sandhu produced the film Afsar and co-produced the film Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua . [9]

He also acted in the film Uda Aida as vice principal. [10]

Hindi film industry

Sandhu made his debut in Hindi film industry with the film Vadh . [11] [12] He contributed as a director, writer, producer and actor in this film.

Qismat (transl. Destiny) is a 2018 Punjabi romantic drama film written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. Produced by Shri Narotam Ji Productions, the film stars Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta in lead roles along with Guggu Gill, Tania and Harby Sangha in supporting roles. It was titled after a 2017 song of the same name, sung by Virk and starring Mehta in its music video. The film follows a man who falls in love whilst studying in Chandigarh, despite his marriage being arranged to another woman. It marked feature film debut for Tania.

Kala Shah Kala is a 2019 Indian Punjabi-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Amarjit Singh. The film is produced by Infantry Pictures and Naughty Men Productions in association with Dreamityata Entertainment. It stars Binnu Dhillon, Sargun Mehta, and Jordan Sandhu, and follows the story of Lovely, a happy and charming guy who struggles to find the love of his life because of his dark complexion. It was scheduled to release on 15 March 2019, but opened early on 14 February 2019. It opened to positive reviews and became a commercial success, earning over 19 crore worldwide. It is the 21st highest grossing Punjabi film.

Kamaldeep Singh Dhaliwal, commonly known as Hobby Dhaliwal is an Indian film actor, singer, and politician. He is known for his works in Punjabi and Hindi films. Dhaliwal began his career by debut movie Burrraahh in 2012. The films Angrej (2015), Lahoriye (2017), Jora 10 Numbaria (2017), and Ardaas Karaan (2019) are among his best known works.
