Jayashree is an Indian actress who appeared in Tamil-language films in the 1980s. She was introduced by film director C. V. Sridhar in Thendrale Ennai Thodu , opposite Mohan, in 1985.[ citation needed ] She started a career in technology in 2000, taking a break from acting after her marriage.

Career

Jayashree started her cinematic career with the 1985 Tamil filmThendrale Ennai Thodu, opposite Mohan. After getting married in 1988, she left the film industry to focus on her family, and later began a career in technology. She returned to acting with the 2010 film Kadhal 2 Kalyanam , though it was never released. On Christmas Day 2016, Jayashree's comeback film Manal Kayiru 2 was released internationally. [1] [2]

Personal life

Jayashree is the granddaughter of S. Jayalakshmi, singer and actress, and grandniece of musician and painter S. Rajam and musician and filmmaker S. Balachander, both her grandmother's brothers. She married Chandrasekhar, a banking professional, in 1988, and they settled in the United States. The couple have two sons.[ citation needed ]

Kadhal 2 Kalyanam is an unreleased Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by newcomer Milind Rau that stars debutante Sathya, brother of Tamil actor Arya, and Ramya, whilst, Jayashree, Nagendra Prasad, Kasthuri and Anuja Iyer play pivotal roles. Noted film critic Baradwaj Rangan had written the dialogues, while Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film's score and soundtrack. The cinematography and editing were handled by P. S. Vinod and Leo John Paul, respectively. Pre-production works began by mid-2008, while the filming continued for over one year, being completed by July 2010. The film was jointly produced by Mirchi Movies and East Coast Entertainment, who are now not in the film-making business. Hence the movie remains unreleased.

Manal Kayiru is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by Visu in his directorial debut. The film stars S. Ve. Shekher and Shanthi Krishna, with Visu, Manorama, Kishmu and Kuriakose Ranga portraying supporting roles. It is based on Visu's play Modi Masthan. The film was released on 7 May 1982. It was remade in Kannada as Savira Sullu, in Telugu as Pelli Chesi Chupistham and in Malayalam as Thiruthalvaadi. It started airing on 29 January 2018 on Vijay TV It is the first time Sreethu and Tejas are paired together. The show is directed by Bramma. The plot and names were partly inspired from the Tamil movie Kadhal Kottai. A sequel series named Anjali premiered on 25 February 2019, replacing this series.
