Jeff Antebi (born 1970) is an American entrepreneur in the arts, best known as the founder of Waxploitation Records and for his photographic works from war and conflict zones.

Jeff Antebi is the founder of Waxploitation Records, a company where he developed the careers of Grammy Award winning artists including Gnarls Barkley, Danger Mouse and the Grammy nominated artist Broken Bells as well as projects like Dangerdoom with Adult Swim, Dark Night of the Soul (album) with David Lynch, The Grey Album and ROME with Danger Mouse, Jack White and Norah Jones. Antebi developed Danger Mouse's producing career from 2003 to 2010, a period of time which includes albums by Gorillaz, The Black Keys, The Good, the Bad & the Queen, and Beck. [7] [8]

Antebi produced the Causes 1 and Causes 2 album series to benefit the work of Oxfam, Human Rights Watch and Médecins Sans Frontières. The albums include songs from Diplo, Spoon, LCD Soundsystem, Animal Collective, The Shins, Devendra Banhart, The Decemberists, and Death Cab for Cutie among others.

His work as war/crisis/conflict photojournalist has appeared in/been featured by CNN, Current TV, GOOD Magazine, NPR, PBS NewsHour, and Rolling Stone among others. [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] He was the first photographer ever exhibited by London’s StolenSpace gallery (Shepard Fairey, D*Face, Will Barras). [15]

Antebi’s debut Los Angeles exhibition, Haiti Before 1.12.10, was curated by Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Edward Robinson, LACMA’s Curator of Photography. [16] His photograph "Haiti on Fire” was used for the cover of the Summer 2010 issue of The Paris Review. [17]

Antebi's debut book Fever Dreams focused on his works about war and elections in Afghanistan, the Drug Cartel Wars in Ciudad Juarez, life in Brazil's notorious illegal squatter "favelas", crisis and elections in Haiti and Thailand’s bloody Malay insurgency.

Demon Days is the second studio album by British virtual band Gorillaz. It was first released on 11 May 2005 in Japan and on 23 May 2005 in the United Kingdom by Parlophone and in the United States by Virgin Records. Produced by the band, Danger Mouse, Jason Cox, and James Dring, the album features contributions from De La Soul, Neneh Cherry, Martina Topley-Bird, Roots Manuva, MF Doom, Ike Turner, Bootie Brown of the Pharcyde, Shaun Ryder, and Dennis Hopper. As with the band's eponymous 2001 debut, the release of Demon Days and its respective live performances were both accompanied by various multimedia, including interactive features on the Gorillaz website, a total of four animated music videos, and animatics for select videos. Almost all visuals associated with the album were designed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, under his design company Zombie Flesh Eaters.

Gnarls Biggie is a hip hop mashup album created in the same vein as Danger Mouse's The Grey Album. It was produced by a group of Brooklyn-based DJs known as Sound Advice. The album features 11 songs in which the tracks of Gnarls Barkley are cut-up into beats and then layered with raps of The Notorious B.I.G. It was released on July 17, 2006 on the website gnotorious.com and was featured on the websites of the music magazines VIBE and Spin. There was also a promotional video released on YouTube. Its album cover parodies the cover of The Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die by replacing the baby's head with Cee-Lo's head. All of the tracks on the album use beats that sample Gnarls Barkley's album St. Elsewhere.

"Going On" uses a sample from the track "Folder Man" by Please. The sample is repeated throughout the song, and comes from 1:30–1:35 from the original song. The song is also featured in a 2010 FIFA World Cup commercial by Puma AG, entitled 'The Journey of Football', featuring the Ghanaian national football team. The single was only released on a promotional format.
