Jeffrey Eugene Davis (born January 26, 1960) is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons during the 1980s. He played college football for Clemson University, and received All-American honors. He played professionally for the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Davis was born in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Davis played college football for the Clemson Tigers. While there he set many records and helped Clemson defeat the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 1982 Orange Bowl to win the National Championship. In his four years at Clemson from 1978 to 1981 he started 35 of 40 games, recording 469 tackles, four sacks, and four interceptions.
Davis was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2007.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers chose Davis in the fifth round (128th pick overall) of the 1982 NFL draft, and he played for the Buccaneers from 1982 to 1987. He became a starter during his second season and led the team in tackles three times. He finished his career starting 72 of 83 games, and compiled 662 tackles, four sacks and three interceptions in his six-season pro career.
Davis' twin sons J.D. and Judah were both linebackers at Clemson between 2015 and 2018. [1] [2]
Derrick Dewan Brooks is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for his entire 14-year career in the National Football League (NFL) with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brooks played college football for the Florida State Seminoles, earning consensus All-American honors twice. He was selected by the Buccaneers in the first round of the 1995 NFL draft. An 11-time Pro Bowl selection and five-time first-team All-Pro, Brooks was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2002 en route to winning the franchise's first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXVII. Following his retirement, Brooks served as co-owner and president of the Tampa Bay Storm in the Arena Football League (AFL) from 2011 to 2017. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
Angelo Delvonne Crowell is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2003 NFL draft. He played college football for the Virginia Cavaliers.
Daryl Lamont Smith is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2004 NFL draft. Smith also played for the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Sammy J. Davis Jr. is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the first round, with the 30th overall pick, of the 2003 NFL draft. He played college football at Texas A&M. Davis also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gaines Adams was an American professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons. He played college football for Clemson University, and was recognized as a unanimous All-American. He was drafted in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft, and played professionally for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears of the NFL. Adams died unexpectedly in 2010 from a previously undetected heart condition.

Eugene Antonio Hayes was an American professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football for the Florida State Seminoles, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL draft. He also played for the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.
Tyrone McKenzie is an American football coach and former linebacker. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2009 NFL draft. He debuted for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010 and also played for the Minnesota Vikings. He played college football at South Florida.

Mark Barron is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he was twice recognized as an All-American, and was a member of two BCS National Championship teams. He was selected as a strong safety by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft, where he played for two and a half seasons before being traded to the St. Louis Rams in 2014, where he moved to the linebacker position. He also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos.

He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 2011 NFL draft. He played college football for the Washington Huskies. He was also a member of the Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins.
Lavonte Lamar David is an American professional football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, twice earning All-American honors, and was selected by the Buccaneers in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft. Since entering the NFL, David has been named to three All-Pro teams, one Pro Bowl and won Super Bowl LV during the 2020 season, in a 31–9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kwon Alexander is an American professional football linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the LSU Tigers. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft. Alexander has also played for the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Shaquil Akeem Barrett is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Nebraska–Omaha Mavericks before transferring to the Colorado State Rams. Barrett was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent after the 2014 NFL draft. After five seasons with the Broncos, including winning Super Bowl 50, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Barrett's level of play increased, making the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams in 2019 after leading the league in sacks, and in 2021 won Super Bowl LV, recording a sack in the game. He signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2024 before retiring from football shortly after.

Devin Marcel White is an American professional football linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the LSU Tigers, and was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fifth overall in the 2019 NFL draft. He spent five seasons with the Buccaneers and won a Super Bowl championship with the team in Super Bowl LV.

Antonio Grier Jr. is an American professional football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the South Florida Bulls and Arkansas Razorbacks and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buccaneers in 2024.
