Jeffery Forehand is an American college baseball coach and former second baseman. Forehand is the head coach of the Lipscomb Bisons baseball team.

Early life

Forehand attended Belmont University, where he played for the Belmont Bruins baseball team.

Coaching career

On May 5, 2005, Forehand was named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for a second consecutive year. [1]

On June 6, 2006, Forehand was named the head coach of the Lipscomb Bisons baseball program. [2] In 2015, Forehand was named to the Trevecca Hall of Fame. [3]

The Indiana State Sycamores football team is the NCAA Division I football program of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. They compete in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. The Lipscomb Bisons men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The school's team currently competes in the ASUN Conference. The Bisons made their first ever trip to the NCAA tournament in school history in 2018, when they defeated Florida Gulf Coast University in the ASUN Conference tournament final. In 2019, Lipscomb made history by becoming the first team in ASUN history to make it to the NIT Finals.

Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium is a baseball stadium located in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. It has been home to the Lipscomb Bisons college baseball team of the NCAA's Division I ASUN Conference since 1991. The facility has a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The playing surface is named after Ken Dugan, Lipscomb baseball coach from 1960 to 1996 and winner of over 1,000 games as head of the program. The surrounding facility is named after Stephen Lee Marsh. The ballpark served as the home of the Nashville Outlaws of the collegiate summer Prospect League in 2011.

The Trevecca Trojans are the athletic teams that represent Trevecca Nazarene University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, in intercollegiate sports at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Trojans have primarily competed in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference since the 2012–13 academic year.

Casey Alexander is the head coach of the men's basketball team at Belmont University. He previously served as head coach at Stetson University and Lipscomb University.

At the end of each regular season, the Atlantic Sun Conference, branded since the 2016–17 school year as the ASUN Conference, names major award winners in baseball. Currently, it names a Coach, Pitcher, Player, Freshman, and Defensive Player of the Year. The Coach of the Year award, which dates to 1979, is the oldest. The others—Player (1982), Freshman (2001), Pitcher (2004), and Defensive Player (2014)—were added later. Through the 2001 season, the then-existing awards were known as the major awards of the Trans America Athletic Conference, the ASUN's former name.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Battle of the Boulevard</span> College basketball rivalry in Tennessee, United States

The Battle of the Boulevard, also referred to as the Belmont–Lipscomb basketball rivalry is a college basketball rivalry between the Belmont University Bruins and the Lipscomb University Bisons. Its nickname was established because of both school's close placement in Nashville, Tennessee– about three miles apart on the same road. The rivalry was classified as non-conference following Belmont's departure from the Atlantic Sun Conference prior to the 2012–13 NCAA Division I basketball season. Their first meeting took place on December 11, 1953. It is one of the geographically closest rivalries in NCAA Division I.

The 2019–20 Lipscomb Bisons men's basketball team represents Lipscomb University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bisons, led by first-year head coach Lennie Acuff, play their home games at the Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
