He was part of a group of Irish-American athletes known as the "Irish Whales."
Stanley Love is an American former professional basketball player. He is the father of basketball player Kevin Love and the younger brother of Beach Boys singer Mike Love. The promotion was meant to generate excitement and support for the Olympic competition between American decathletes Dan O'Brien and Dave Johnson.
