Jennifer "Jenny" Lee Fish (born May 17, 1949) is an American speed skater who competed in the 1968 Winter Olympics.
She was born in Strongsville, Ohio.
Fish began seeing success at the age of 12 in 1961, when she won the Ohio indoor championship and the Cleveland Press Silver Skates Midget-Novice title. From there, he success grew, and by 1964 she won the National indoor and outdoor junior championships and the U.S National indoor and outdoor titles. [1]
Fish held eight separate U.S. national speed skating records throughout her career. [2]
At the age of 18, Fish qualified for the 1968 Winter Olympics despite limited international experience. However, she won the silver medal in the 500 metres event, finishing in a three-way tie with two other American skaters. In the 1000 metres competition she finished 23rd. [3]

Following her speed skating career, Fish went on to earn a degree in health and physical education from Baldwin-Wallace College and a master's in education from Kent State University. [4]

Harry Lee Reynolds Jr., commonly known as Butch Reynolds, is an American former track and field athlete who competed in the 400 meter dash. He held the world record for the event for 11 years with his personal best time of 43.29 seconds set in 1988. That year, he was the silver medalist at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and a relay gold medalist. He was falsely accused and banned for drug use for two years by the IAAF; until The United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of Reynolds due to an apparent drug testing procedural flaw. Reynolds was awarded $27.3 million dollars due to the false accusation damages; however, he never received a penny.

The James B. Sheffield Olympic Skating Rink is an outdoor artificial ice track for speedskating in Lake Placid, New York, United States (US). The arena hosted the speedskating events at both the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. During the time between the two Olympics events, the rink hosted Lake Placid High School football games.

Martina Sáblíková is a Czech speed skater, specializing in long track speed skating. She is an Olympic gold medal winner and a multiple European and World allround champion. She became the first Czech to win two Olympic gold medals at one Winter Games in the 2010 Olympiad. Sáblíková also competes in inline speed skating and road cycling races as a part of her summer preparation for the skating season. In cycling, she focuses especially on individual time trial discipline in which Sáblíková holds multiple Czech Republic National Championships titles and belongs to world's top 15 female time-trialists. Sáblíková is the elder sister of fellow speedskater Milan Sáblík.
