Jenny Wilson (born 20 October 1975) is a Swedish singer-songwriter. [1] Her music has a distinct electro-influenced style.
Wilson founded the band First Floor Power in 1997 and released two albums, There Is Hope and Nerves, [2] before leaving the band to go solo around 2004. She also studied graphic design at Konstfack for one year.
Wilson was signed to The Knife's Rabid Records, and was a guest vocalist on The Knife's album Deep Cuts [3] on the song You Take My Breath Away which is about The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson going to a First Floor Power show. Wilson is also featured in the music video for the song.
Wilson's debut solo album Love and Youth was released in 2005 in Sweden and then, in August 2006, [4] in Australia on Hussle Recordings' album imprint (later to launch independently as etcetc). The first single from the album, Summertime – The Roughest Time, received extensive airplay on Triple J. In 2010, her first album was included in NME's "The 100 Greatest Albums You've Never Heard" list. [5] It was chosen by Elly Jackson of La Roux.
In November 2006, Wilson appeared on Robyn's promotional The Rakamonie EP , featuring in a live recording of the song List of Demands.
On 25 February 2009, Wilson self-released her second solo album Hardships! [6] on CD and vinyl. In January 2010 Wilson won a European Border Breakers Award for her international success. [7]
In the summer of 2010, Wilson was diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing chemotherapy she went into remission. [8]
In 2011 Wilson released her third album Blazing; [9] a re-recorded counterpart to her previous album Hardships!
Wilson made a short film Beyond that Wasteland [10] with director Daniel Wirtberg in 2011; it was filmed in Iceland and premiered in Sweden in October 2012.
Wilson began work on her fourth album Demand The Impossible in 2012 after finishing a Scandinavian tour for her previous album Blazing. However, she then found out that her cancer had returned. She continued to work on the new album whilst undergoing treatment and then during the recovery process. [11] Demand The Impossible was released in 2013. [12]
In 2018 Wilson announced her fifth album, Exorcism, released on 23 March. [13] [14] [15]

Deep Cuts is the second studio album by Swedish electronic music duo the Knife. It was released on 17 January 2003 by Rabid Records. The 2004 version contains three additional tracks and is packaged with a DVD containing music videos. On 31 October 2006, Mute Records issued Deep Cuts and the Knife's eponymous debut album in the United States, marking the first US release of both albums. The album spawned the singles "Heartbeats", "You Take My Breath Away" and "Pass This On".

First Aid Kit is a Swedish folk duo consisting of the sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, born in 1990 and 1993 respectively. When performing live, they are accompanied by a drummer, a guitarist and a keyboard player. First Aid Kit started to become internationally known in 2008 with their YouTube uploaded cover of the Fleet Foxes' song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". In 2012 Rolling Stone magazine had their song "Emmylou" as 10th on their "Single of the Year" list. First Aid Kit has released five albums, four EPs and several singles. "On the Low" is a song by Swedish singer Tove Styrke from her third studio album, Sway (2018). Styrke wrote the song with Elof Loelv, who handled the production. It stood as one of the first songs written for the album and was previewed by Styrke while touring in the fall of 2017. The song was released as the album's fourth single on 6 April 2018 through Sony Music. Musically, it is a downtempo pop song that Styrke sings with whispered and falsetto vocals over a production consisting of a minimal beat and bird calls. The song's lyrics narrate the protagonist's desire to be in a relationship while her partner prefers to keep it casual.
