She acted in many of his films including, Persona (1966), Cries and Whispers (1972), Scenes from a Marriage (1973), The Passion of Anna (1969), and Autumn Sonata (1978).
Thomas Vinterberg is a Danish film director who, along with Lars von Trier, co-founded the Dogme 95 movement in filmmaking, which established rules for simplifying movie production. He is best known for the films The Celebration (1998), Submarino (2010), The Hunt (2012), Far from the Madding Crowd (2015), and Another Round (2020). For Another Round, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director and won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.

The film was well received by critics, and was awarded three Amanda Awards in 2006.

Jonny Vang is a Norwegian film from 2003. It was directed by Jens Lien after a script by Ståle Stein Berg. The music was composed by the band Calexico. The plot is a drama-comedy from the Norwegian countryside, where the protagonist Jonny Vang is frustrated in his efforts to prosper as a breeder of earthworms. The film was reasonably well received by critics, and was awarded an Amanda Award for "Best Actor" in 2003.

Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass is a 2015 Vietnamese film. It was adapted from the novel of the same name by Nguyễn Nhật Ánh. It was directed by Victor Vũ and produced by Galaxy Media & Entertainment Saigon Concert, Phương Nam Film, PS Việt Nam and K+ Television channel. It was premiere in Cannes Film Festival 2015 and released in theaters on 2 October 2015. It was selected as the Vietnamese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards but it was not nominated.
What on Earth Have I Done Wrong?! is a 2007 Taiwanese comedy film directed, co-written, and co-produced by Doze Niu, starring himself as struggling film director-producer "Doze Niu", in his feature film debut. Billed as "an honest outlook inside Doze Niu's life and Taiwan's entertainment industry", the low-budget mockumentary was shot mainly home movie-style with little background music. Most of the actors portrayed themselves.
