Jeremiah Freed is a rock band from York, Maine. [1] The band's style combines elements of the alternative and southern rock genres.

Jeremiah Freed is: singer Joseph Smith, drummer Kerry Ryan, guitarist Nick Goodale, guitarist Jake Roche, and bassist Matt Cosby. The band formed during their sophomore year of high school, [1] [2] and all graduated together in June 2000. [2] The first song that the band learned was "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. [3]

Discography

Jeremiah Freed's first major record label recording was a self-titled released by the Republic/Universal label on March 26, 2002. Previously, the band had independently released a CD, which featured some of the same songs that are found on the Republic/Universal release. The next recording, a five-song EP entitled Times Don't Change, was released November 1, 2002. On August 12, 2003, Jeremiah Freed released Slowburn. Both of the final two CDs were independently released.

The band dissolved in 2008 after all members, with the exception of singer Jay Forrest, left the band. Following this, the lineup of the band's first two albums got together temporarily and played reunion shows in 2011. The band finally reformed with the majority of their last album's members and original drummer Adam Morgan in 2016 with a new label Equal Vision Records. Arbiter was released on July 13, 2018.

While the album broke into the Billboard 200, they eventually parted ways with Serjical Strike and later released their fourth album Arrows and Anchors in July 2011. Tentative plans for a fifth album had been discussed at the end of the Arrow and Anchors touring cycle, but the band became inactive in 2013.
