Jermaine Walker (born April 5, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player.

Walker played college basketball for the Miami Hurricanes during the 1996–97 season. He was late to join the team as he failed his SAT twice before he passed it in December 1996. [1] Walker left the Hurricanes in June 1997 to embark on a professional career. [2]

Walker was under contract with Toronto Raptors (1999), Miami Heat (1999) and Orlando Magic (2002) of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played professionally for Juve Caserta in Italy (1997–98), Rapid City Thrillers (IBA, 1997–98), La Crosse Bobcats (CBA, 1998–99), Idaho Stampede (CBA, 1999–00), Marinos de Oriente (Venezuela, 2000), Gulf Coast SunDogs (USBL, 2000), Memphis Houn'Dawgs (ABA, 2000–01), Elitzur Ashkelon (Israel, 2000–01), Lakeland Blue Ducks (USBL, 2001), Fargo-Moorhead Beez (CBA, 2001–02), FedEx Express (Philippines, 2002), Columbus Riverdragons and Huntsville Flight (NBDL, 2002–03), Marinos de Oriente (Venezuela, 2003–04), Aris Thessaloniki (Greece, 2004), Rockford Lightning (CBA, 2005), Marinos de Anzoátegui (Venezuela, 2005), BCM Gravelines (France, 2005), Sioux Falls Skyforce (CBA, 2006) and again with Marinos de Anzoátegui in Venezuela in 2007 [3] ).

Personal life

On September 22, 1998, Walker was shot in his left hip and had his car stolen after he was confronted outside his parents' house in Pompano Beach, Florida. Travaris Welch, who was identified by Walker, was charged with armed robbery and attempted murder. [4]

The United States Basketball League (USBL) was a professional men's spring basketball league. The league was formed in 1985 and ceased operations in 2008. The USBL started in 1985 as one of the first basketball leagues to play a late-spring to early-summer schedule. The league quickly became known as a development league for players, with many players moving up to the NBA and many more playing in Europe after stints here. In 1996, the league made a stock offering, a rarity among sports leagues. However, in later years, the league declined as rival leagues appeared and USBL had a tougher time replacing teams that folded. The Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB) is the Venezuelan first division national professional basketball league. Founded in 1974 as Liga Especial de Baloncesto, it adopted the name Liga Profesional de Baloncesto in the 1993 season. Marinos are the team with most championships with 11. The winners and runners-up of each LPB season qualify for the FIBA Americas League regular season. The 2018 season was the last played with the name Liga Profesional de Baloncesto: in 2019 a new competition called Copa LPB was played. In late 2019 the president of the Venezuelan Basketball Federation Hanthony Coello announced the creation of a new league called SuperLiga Profesional de Baloncesto; in March 2020 the Venezuelan Basketball Federation announced that the planning of the new league was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Garret Andrew Siler is an American professional basketball player for Marinos de Anzoátegui of the Venezuelan Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB). He formerly played center for Augusta State University. When he went undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft, he first signed with the D-League's Utah Flash and then the Chinese Basketball Association's Shanghai Sharks. During his one year with the Sharks, he averaged 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game on 74 percent shooting from the field.

Aubrey Lamar Reese is an American former professional basketball player. A 6-foot point guard, he played college basketball at Murray State for 3 years, being named the OVC Player of the Year in 2000. After going undrafted in the 2000 NBA Draft he started his professional career in the USBL in 2000, and the following season he was named the USBL Player of the Year. He then moved to Europe, and in 2003 he was the top scorer of the LNB Pro A in France. He has played in several countries in Asia and Europe, including France, Germany, Israel, Russia and Turkey.

Reginald Gene Cross is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball with the Miami Dade Sharks and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. Cross was selected in the 1987 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers but never played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He instead played professionally in the American Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and in France, Spain and Turkey. Cross is the most recent player from the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors to be selected in an NBA draft.
