Jerome Hartigan (born 30 August 1957) is an Irish modern pentathlete. He competed at the 1980 Summer Olympics.
Hartigan was born on 30 August 1957, in Ireland. [1] He earned his Master's degree from Ithaca College [2] and later coached their Men's Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. [3]
Hartigan competed for Team Ireland at the 1980 Summer Olympics alongside Sackville Currie and Mark Hartigan. [4] In 1988, Hartigan and Sophie Foster stablished Jumping Beans, a program to encourage brain development in pre-school aged children. [5] [6]
Theresa Ione Sanderson is a British former javelin thrower. She appeared in every Summer Olympics from 1976 to 1996, winning the gold medal in the javelin throw at the 1984 Olympics. Arthur Patrick Keily was a British marathon runner. Originally an amateur footballer, Keily served during the Second World War and, upon his return to England, was placed on the reserve list of his former team and never again made it to the field. He took up long-distance running at the age of 28 and finished twenty-seven marathons during his career, finishing first in eleven of them and on the podium in six more. He set nine world records. After unsuccessful appearances at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and the 1960 Summer Olympics, he retired from active competition, but re-entered the sport at the master's level in the 1990s.
Bethany Charlotte Firth, is a Northern Irish swimmer. Since 2014 she has competed for Great Britain; previously, Firth had represented Ireland.
