Gerald A. "Jerry" Krummel is a Republican politician from the U.S. state of Oregon. A native of Washington,he served as mayor of Wilsonville,Oregon in the 1990s. An educator and athletic trainer,he is a former member of the Oregon House of Representatives,representing Wilsonville and parts of Washington and Clackamas counties.
Gerald A. Krummel was born in Walla Walla,Washington,and later earned a degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City,Utah. [1] [2] He then graduated from Lewis &Clark College in Portland,Oregon with a masters in teaching degree. [1] Following college he began working as a school athletic trainer,first for the Portland Public Schools and then at Lewis &Clark. [1] Krummel then became the head of the training program at Western Oregon State College (now Western Oregon University) in Monmouth before starting his own athletic training business in 1990. [1]
In 1989,Krummel started his political career when he was appointed to a Wilsonville,Oregon,city committee. [1] The following year he was elected to the city council followed by election as mayor,serving six years as mayor. [1] In 1998,he was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives to District 27 representing parts of Clackamas and Washington counties. [3]
Krummel won re-election in 2000,2002,2004,and 2006,but redistricting changed the constituency to District 26. [4] He collaborated closely with a community group known as Friends of Bull Mountain who have advocated changes to Oregon land use laws. [5] On August 4,2007,Krummel announced that he would not seek re-election to the Oregon House of Representatives. [6] He resigned his office on August 1,2008,and moved to Reno,Nevada. [7]
Milwaukie is a city mostly in Clackamas County,Oregon,United States;a very small portion of the city extends into Multnomah County. The population was 21,119 at the 2020 census. Founded in 1847 on the banks of the Willamette River,the city,known as the Dogwood City of the West,was incorporated in 1903 and is the birthplace of the Bing cherry. Wilsonville is a city primarily in Clackamas County,Oregon,United States. A portion of the northern section of the city is in Washington County. It was founded as Boones Landing because of the Boones Ferry which crossed the Willamette River at the location;the community became Wilsonville in 1880. The city was incorporated in 1969 with a population of approximately 1,000. The population was 13,991 at the 2000 census,and grew to 19,509 as of 2010. Slightly more than 90% of residents at the 2000 census were white,with Hispanics comprising the largest minority group.

Clackamas Community College (CCC) is a public community college in Oregon City,Oregon. Founded in 1966,it is one of the largest community colleges in the state of Oregon. Clackamas Community College offers courses at three campuses:the central campus in Oregon City,Harmony Community Campus in Clackamas,and the Wilsonville campus. Extension sites are also located in the towns of Canby and Molalla,where CCC offers English as a Second Language,GED in Spanish,computer science and community education classes. CCC is also the only college to offer an urban agriculture certificate in the state of Oregon.

Asa Lawrence Lovejoy was an American pioneer and politician in the region that would become the U.S. state of Oregon. He is best remembered as a founder of the city of Portland,Oregon. He was an attorney in Boston,Massachusetts before traveling by land to Oregon;he was a legislator in the Provisional Government of Oregon,mayor of Oregon City,and a general during the Cayuse War that followed the Whitman massacre in 1847. He was also a candidate for Provisional Governor in 1847,before the Oregon Territory was founded,but lost that election.
Dave Hunt is an American politician in the state of Oregon. A Democrat,he was the Oregon House Speaker and served as State Representative for District 40 of the Oregon House of Representatives representing Clackamas County from 2003 to 2013. He was elected House Majority Leader for the 2007–2009 session,succeeding Minority Leader Jeff Merkley,who was chosen as Speaker. Hunt served as Speaker during the 2009–2011 session,again succeeding Merkley,who was elected to serve in the United States Senate. After his service in the House,Hunt served as President &CEO of the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition (PNDC) for five years. He currently serves as Executive Director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Clackamas.
Ralph Milo Holman was an attorney and judge in the state of Oregon,United States. He was the 74th justice of the Oregon Supreme Court. Previously he was a circuit court judge for Clackamas County,Oregon. His great uncle was United States Senator Rufus C. Holman.
Wilsonville Transit Center,also called SMART Central at Wilsonville Station,is a bus and commuter rail transport hub in Wilsonville,Oregon,United States. The transit center,which is owned and operated by the City of Wilsonville,is the hub for the South Metro Area Regional Transit (SMART) bus system. The Portland metropolitan area's regional transit agency,TriMet,operates the southern terminus of its WES Commuter Rail at the facility;WES connects with the Blue and Red lines of MAX Light Rail at Beaverton Transit Center. Opened in January 2009,the transit center includes a 400-car park and ride.

The Orbis Cascade Alliance is a library consortium serving academic libraries in the Northwestern United States. The consortium was formed through the 2003 merger of two previous consortia,Orbis and Cascade,which consisted of libraries in Oregon and Washington,respectively. The Alliance functioned as part of the University of Oregon until its incorporation as a nonprofit on February 1,2011. The Alliance has 38 governing members,consisting of colleges and universities in Oregon and Washington,plus the University of Idaho. The Alliance serves many types of libraries in a broader area that includes Oregon,Washington,Idaho,Montana,Utah,Wyoming,Alaska,and Hawaii.

Matt Wingard is an American politician in the state of Oregon. He was appointed to fill a vacancy in the Oregon House of Representatives in 2008,and was elected to the seat in 2008 and re-elected in 2010. He represented District 26,which encompasses southeastern Washington County,including Sherwood;and southwestern Clackamas County,including Wilsonville. He did not seek re-election to a third term.
Gordon C. Faber was an American politician and businessman in the U.S. state of Oregon. A native of Pennsylvania,he grew up in Hillsboro,Oregon. He joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a small business owner before becoming a real estate agent and entering politics. He served on Hillsboro's budget committee and city council before serving two terms as mayor from 1993 to 2001. The Gordon Faber Recreation Complex in the city's northeast corner is named in his honor.

The Republican and Democratic primary elections were on May 15,2012,and the general election was on November 6,2012. Robert Valentine Short was an American politician and land surveyor in Oregon. A native of Pennsylvania,he traveled the Oregon Trail where he eventually settled in Yamhill County. He was a member of the Oregon Constitutional Convention and later the Oregon House of Representatives. Short also served in the Indian Wars and lived in Portland.
District 26 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2021,the boundary for the district contains portions of Clackamas and Washington counties. The district includes Wilsonville and Sherwood as well as parts of King City. The current representative for the district is Democrat Courtney Neron of Wilsonville.
The 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in Oregon were held on November 8,2022,to elect the six U.S. representatives from the state of Oregon,one from each of the state's six congressional districts. Primaries for these seats were held on May 17,2022. The elections coincided with the elections and primaries of other federal and state offices.
George Clayton Brownell was an American politician and attorney from Oregon City,Oregon. He was a conservative Republican who represented Clackamas County in both of Oregon's legislative chambers. He served three four-year terms in the Oregon State Senate and was senate president from 1903 through 1904. Brownell was defeated for re-election after he was implicated in a land fraud scheme. However,he was later exonerated when one of the convicted fraudsters admitted in court that he had forged Brownell's name on the incriminating documents without Brownell's knowledge or consent. Brownell remained very popular in Clackamas County throughout his life. He was elected mayor of Oregon City in 1910 and later served a two-year term in the Oregon House of Representatives.
