The Jersey Liberal Conservatives is a centre-right party in Jersey founded in 2021 to compete for the following year's general election. It was officially registered on 8 January 2022.

Contents

Founding members include former the Bailiff of Jersey Philip Bailhache. [5] The party describes itself as being conservative on economic matters and liberal on sociocultural matters.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 Jersey general election</span>

The 2022 Jersey general election was held on 22 June 2022 to elect Connétables and deputies to the States Assembly. As in previous elections, the majority of seats were won by independents. The governing Jersey Alliance party suffered a heavy defeat, losing all but one of its seats. Following the election, a coalition government led by Better Way Deputy Kristina Moore was formed.

The Progress Party was a centrist, big tent party in Jersey, formed in 2021 to compete for the 2022 Jersey general election. Senator Steve Pallett lead the party, which included Deputy Steve Luce and former Deputy Eddie Noel.

Pierre Horsfall is a retired hotelier and politician from Jersey. He was a member of the States Assembly from 1975 for 27 years, and as the President of Policy and Resources committee he was Jersey's most senior politician.
