Jess Folley

Jess Folley (born 2003) [1] is a British singer and songwriter. She is best known for winning the first season of The Voice Kids and for portraying the role of Ali in the stage musical Burlesque in 2025.

Early life

Folley graduated from the East London Arts and Music Academy. [1]

Career

Folley was the winner of the first season of the British The Voice Kids in 2017, coached by singer Pixie Lott at age 14. [2]

She then participated and won The X Factor: The Band in 2019, a special edition of the British TV Show The X Factor, as part of RLY (Real Like You).

At age 19, in 2022, Folley got first involved with the stage adaptation of Burlesque , the famous movie by Steven Antin starring Christina Aguilera, writing the opening song for the main character, Ali Rose, "Got It All From You". [3] [4] Folley was then invited to portray the role in the workshop and was then cast in the lead role for the show's opening in 2024 at the Opera House in Manchester [5] [6] and, after a successful run and a short transfer to Glasgow [7] , announced as reprising the role in London's West End at the Savoy Theatre. [8] Cast also included Todrick Hall as Sean, Jackie Burns as Tess and George Maguire as Vince. [9] Orfeh took over the role of Tess in the London transfer. [10]
