Jessica Walter (born 14 October 1984) is a former alpine skier who competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics representing Liechtenstein.
Walter was born in Vaduz and represented the Skiclub Schaan. Walter won silver at the World Junior Alpine Skiing Championships 2004 in Maribor, representing her country in the Giant Slalom. [2] Between 2002 and 2006, she competed in 17 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup events, qualifying for three second run races for classification. [3] [4] Her best World Cup result came in February 2004 at Zwiesel in the Slalom where she finished in 17th position. [5]
She competed the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino finishing 32nd in the Slalom. [6] [7] She was also the chosen flagbearer of Liechtenstein for the opening ceremony. [8]
Walter resides in Planken, Liechtenstein. Her mother is Petra Wenzel who competed in Alpine Skiing at the 1980 and 1984 Winter Olympics. Her cousin is olympic medal winning skier, Tina Weirather. [6]
Hannelore (Hanni) Wenzel is a retired Liechtensteiner alpine ski racer. Weirather is a former Olympic, World Cup, and world champion. She won Liechtenstein's first-ever Olympic medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, and its first two Olympic gold medals four years later in Lake Placid, New York.
Anja Sofia Tess Pärson is a Swedish former alpine skier. She is an Olympic gold medalist, seven-time gold medalist at the World Championships, and two-time overall Alpine Skiing World Cup champion. This included winning three gold medals in the 2007 World Championship in her native Sweden. She has won a total of 42 World Cup races.
Vanessa-Mae also called Vanessa-Mae Vanakorn Nicholson, is a Singaporean-born British violinist with album sales reaching several million, having made her the wealthiest entertainer under 30 in the United Kingdom in 2006. She competed under the name Vanessa Vanakorn for Thailand in alpine skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She was initially banned from skiing by the International Ski Federation (FIS) after participating in a qualifying race allegedly organised to enable her to qualify for the Winter Olympics. An appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport led to the ban being nullified, citing lack of evidence for her own wrongdoing or any manipulation. The FIS later issued an apology to her.
Janica Kostelić is a Croatian former alpine ski racer. She is a four-time Olympic gold medalist. In addition to the Olympics, she won five gold medals at the World Championships. In World Cup competition, she won thirty individual races, three overall titles, three slalom titles, and four combined titles. Kostelic's accomplishments in professional skiing have led some commentators, writers, and fellow ski racers to regard her as the greatest female ski racer of all time.
Bojan Križaj is a Slovenian, back then Yugoslavian, former alpine skier. During his international career he competed for the then-existing Yugoslavia. He competed at three Winter Olympics.

This marked the return of the Virgin Islands to the Winter Olympics after missing the 2010 edition, and was their sixth time competing at a Winter Olympic Games. The USVI team consisted of one athlete in alpine skiing, Jasmine Campbell. She finished 56th in the giant slalom and 43rd in the slalom.
Alessia Afi Dipol is an Italian-born naturalized Togolese alpine skier who competed for Togo at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics in the slalom and giant slalom. Dipol also originally competed for India between 2011 and 2013, but she later switched to compete for Togo even though she has no familial connections to the country, so she could qualify to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She also chose to represent the country because her father owns a clothing factory in Togo.

Danja Haslacher is an Austrian alpine skier who won five gold medals and one bronze medal at the Paralympic Games between 1998 and 2006. She also won the 2004 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships Super G LW2 event.
