Jetty is a podcast network run by Al Jazeera Media Network (AJMN). The network is available via its website as well as SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio. Jetty is based out of San Francisco alongside AJ+ and is available in English.

Jetty was launched on November 1, 2017 and works closely with AJ+ and Al Jazeera English. [1] The network also incorporates visual elements; it is one of the first partners of Facebook Watch. [2]

Podcasts

Jetty debuted with the podcast Closer Than They Appear, a hybrid interview/narrative show hosted by writer Carvell Wallace. Other podcasts which will debut in 2018 include The Game of Our Lives which will use soccer to explain global economics and cultures, a podcast on freedom dubbed (Freedom Stories, featuring Melissa Harris-Perry ), sex (The Virgie Show) with Virgie Tovar, and global music (Movement) with Meklit Hadero. TYT serves as the flagship program of the TYT Network, a multi-channel network of associated web series focusing on news and current events. Aljazeera.com Website of Al Jazeera English and Al Jazeera Balkans

Aljazeera.com is the main web address for the Al Jazeera English, Al Jazeera Balkans and former Al Jazeera America websites. The domain name was acquired by Al Jazeera Media Network in March 2011 from Aljazeera Publishing, a Dubai-based media company which owned the separate Aljazeera Magazine, after a long-running domain name dispute between the two entities. Al Jazeera English began promoting aljazeera.com instead of aljazeera.net/english since the domain name became part of Al Jazeera English. It is also used and subdivided as the homepage for the channels of Al Jazeera America and Al Jazeera Balkans. Al Jazeera Media Network also owns the original Aljazeera.net for their Arabic language channels and properties and Aljazeera.tr for their Turkish language properties including Al Jazeera Turk.

Current TV was an American television channel from August 1, 2005 to August 20, 2013. Prior INdTV founders Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, with Ronald Burkle, each held a sizable stake in Current TV. Comcast and DirecTV each held a smaller stake.

Free Speech TV (FSTV) is an American news and opinion network. It was launched in 1995 and is owned and operated by Public Communicators Incorporated, a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1974. Distributed principally by Dish Network, DirecTV, and the network's live stream at freespeech.org and on Roku, Free Speech TV has run commercial free since 1995 with support from viewers and foundations. LiveStation

Livestation was a platform for distributing live television and radio broadcasts over a data network. It was originally developed by Skinkers Ltd. and is now an independent company called Livestation Ltd. The service was originally based on peer-to-peer technology acquired from Microsoft Research. Between mid-June 2013 and mid-July Livestation was unavailable to some subscribers due to technical issues.

Al Jazeera Türk(AJT) was a news website in Turkish. It was owned by the Qatar backed Al Jazeera Media Network. Attempts to launch a television network do not appear to have succeeded. The website was shut down on 3 May 2017.

Al Jazeera America former United States version of the Qatar-based TV channel

Al Jazeera America (AJAM) was an American pay television news channel owned by the Al Jazeera Media Network. The channel was launched on August 20, 2013 to compete with CNN, HLN, MSNBC, Fox News, and in certain markets, RT America. It was Al Jazeera's second entry into the U.S. television market, after the launch of beIN Sports in 2012. The channel, which had persistently low ratings, announced in January 2016 that it would close on April 12, 2016, citing the "economic landscape".

AJ+ is an online news and current events channel run by Al Jazeera Media Network (AJMN). The service is available on its website, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with written content on Medium. English, Arabic, French and Spanish languages versions are currently live.

Live streaming world news refers to live videos streams of world television news which are provided via streaming television or via streaming media by various television networks and television news outlets, from various countries. These are provided through Smart TV, or else through the networks' own websites, or also possibly via internet television, video on demand services, subscription video on demand websites such as e.g. Hulu, mobile apps, or digital media players that are designed to play streaming television, such as e.g. the Roku media player. It is distinct from news broadcasts that are transmitted via conventional broadcast television; since it is not transmitted via cable television services, and not via over-the-air television that is transmitted via over-the-air broadcasting.
