Jewelry Box is the fifteenth studio album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on July 3, 2002, through Extasy Japan. It is her first studio album in three years, since Full of Love . It is also Kudo's first and only studio album released under the label Extasy Japan.

Commercial performance

Jewelry Box debuted at number 60 on the Oricon Albums Chart. It charted for a single week in the top 300 and sold a total of 4,000 copies, as reported by Oricon. [1] [2]

Super Best is the sixth compilation album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on November 19, 1993, through Pony Canyon. It is Kudo's first single collection, featuring all A-sides produced by Tsugutoshi Gotō and released by Kudo since her solo debut, from "Kindan no Telepathy" up to the most recent at the time, "Anata Shika Inai Desho", spread out on two discs. The compilation also includes one new song, entitled "Honō no Naka e", which was written specifically for the album and which marks the last collaboration with Gotō until 2015, when he composed "Tan Jun Ai vs Hontō no Ai" for the compilation My Treasure Best: Miyuki Nakajima × Tsugutoshi Gotō Collection. Rosette is the fifth studio album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on April 4, 1990, through Pony Canyon. Initially titled Mysterious II, Rosette is Kudo's first album to be entirely arranged by Tsugutoshi Gotō and his band members, credited under the name Draw4. The limited first pressing of the album came in a special box packaging. Rosette was re-released in APO-CD format on December 1, 1993.

The single was released simultaneously with Kudo's third video album, Female III. An English version of the song was recorded for the compilation album, Best of Ballade: Current (1998). In 2015, DAM asked their users to select their favorite Shizuka Kudo songs to sing karaoke to and compiled a top ten list; "Ice Rain" came in at number three and was the only song penned by Kudo to make the top ten.

"Gekijō" is a song recorded by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo, from her twelfth studio album, Dress. It was released by Pony Canyon as the album's lead single on November 7, 1996. It is the theme song of the CX television series Yuzurenai Yoru, starring Kudo herself. "Gekijō" was written by Miyuki Nakajima specifically for the drama; after reading the script, Kudo immediately thought of Nakajima for the soundtrack and sought to have her write the theme song. Nakajima's lyrics invoke the series' title, which loosely translates to "Unyielding Night".

Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo has released eighteen studio albums, fourteen compilation albums, one EP, two cover albums, six video albums, twelve live video albums, two box sets, and forty-three singles. Her career began in 1985 when she debuted as one of the three vocalists of the girl group Seventeen Club. The short-lived group disbanded after two unsuccessful singles. In 1986, she joined the idol girl group Onyanko Club as member number 38, which led to Kudo forming the subgroup Ushirogami Hikaretai the following year. She released her first solo single, "Kindan no Telepathy", on the same day as the last broadcast of the variety show Yūyake Nyan Nyan, from which the Onyanko Club members originated. It debuted at number one on the Oricon Singles Chart and became the first of eleven total number-one singles released in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "Koi Hitoyo", "Arashi no Sugao", "Kuchibiru Kara Biyaku", "Senryū no Shizuku" and "Please". Miyuki Nakajima penned the following singles released by Kudo during this era: "Fu-ji-tsu", "Mugon... Iroppoi", "Kōsa ni Fukarete", "Watashi ni Tsuite" and Dōkoku". All five singles debuted at number one and, with total sales exceeding a million, "Dōkoku" became the best-selling single of Kudo's career.

Rin is the seventeenth studio album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released a day shy of Kudo's 30th anniversary, on August 30, 2017, through Pony Canyon. The album marks Kudo's first studio album in over twelve years and includes nine original songs written by Japanese singer-songwriters Koji Tamaki, Tak Matsumoto and Kaori Kishitani, among others. it also features various collaborations with veteran songwriters, including lyricist Gorō Matsui, a long-time collaborator of Kudo's, as well as with new talent, such as Niconico utaite Mafumafu, the singer-songwriter duo Yoshida Yamada and first-time songwriter and author Shizuka Ijūin, while Kudo serves as the album's executive producer.

My Heartful Best: Gorō Matsui Collection is the fourteenth compilation album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on March 9, 2016, through Pony Canyon. It features three discs-worth of songs co-written by lyricist Gorō Matsui, ranging from Kudo's greatest hit singles to album tracks to recent compositions. The record also includes the unreleased track "Without Your Love" as well as a new song entitled "Yuragi no Tsuki".

Shizuka Kudo 20th Anniversary the Best is the eleventh compilation album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released in celebration of Kudo's 20th anniversary since her solo debut on August 29, 2007, through Pony Canyon. The compilation includes a selection of Kudo's singles released up until "Amayo no Tsuki ni". The limited edition comes with a DVD featuring the music videos for "Lotus ", "Kokoro no Chikara", "Clāvis (Kagi)" and "Amayo no Tsuki ni", as well as a digest of Kudo's live performances. Shizuka Kudo 20th Anniversary the Best was the first of three releases to celebrate Kudo's 20th, it was followed by the video album box set Shizuka Kudo The Live DVD Complete Box in September 2007, and the B-side compilation, "20th Anniversary B-side collection" in 2008.

Euro Shizuka Kudo is the first and only remix album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on September 20, 2000, through Pony Canyon. The EP features four of Kudo's hit songs remixed into Para Para-ready Eurobeat numbers. It was released as part of the Euro series by Pony Canyon, which only includes one other release, the EP Euro Onyanko, which gives the Eurobeat treatment to four songs by Onyanko Club. The EP was released after Kudo left Pony Canyon and moved to Extasy Japan and is not considered an official release on her side.

Shōwa no Kaidan Vol. 1 is the first cover album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on October 30, 2002, through Extasy Japan, marking her last release with the label. As the title evokes, the album features a selection of songs from the Shōwa period. It includes covers of artists such as Hiroko Yakushimaru, Mayumi Itsuwa, Kenji Sawada, Naoko Ken and Yōsui Inoue, among others. Kudo also recorded Japanese covers of "Moliendo Café", first recorded by Mario Suárez, and "Tennessee Waltz", originally recorded by Patti Page. The songs were originally covered in Japan by Sachiko Nishida and Chiemi Eri, respectively.

A limited first pressing of Joy was released in gold CD format. Kudo has stated that Joy is one of her favorite albums she has recorded. Nanase Aikawa has also listed the album as a major influence behind her decision to pursue a musical career. Joy was re-issued in APO-CD format on December 1, 1993.

Shizuka is the second studio album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on July 21, 1988, through Pony Canyon. The eponymous record is often cited as an EP, despite being officially regarded as her second album. Shizuka is entirely written and composed by Miyuki Nakajima and Tsugutoshi Gotō, respectively. Nakajima recorded a cover of the fifth track, "Hadashi no Lion", for her album Otogibanashi: Fairy Ring (2002). Shizuka was re-issued in gold CD on March 21, 1989, and later in APO-CD format on December 1, 1993.
