James Robert McTaggart (born March 31, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played for the Washington Capitals. He was originally signed as a free agent by the Capitals in 1979 and played parts of two seasons with the club. He was an assistant coach for the Seattle Thunderbirds through the 2012-13 season. McTaggart was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.

The Washington Capitals are a professional ice hockey team based in Washington, D.C. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference. The Capitals are owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment, headed by Ted Leonsis. From 1974 to 1997 the Capitals played their home games at the Capital Centre, in Landover, Maryland. In 1997 the team moved to the arena now called Capital One Arena, their present home arena in Washington, D.C.
Adam Robert Oates is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, former co-head coach for the New Jersey Devils and former head coach for the Washington Capitals. He played 19 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and Edmonton Oilers. Known as an elite playmaker, Oates' career total of 1,079 assists was the fifth-highest total in NHL history at the time of his 2004 retirement.

The Billings Bighorns were a junior ice hockey team in the Western Hockey League who played from 1977 to 1982. The team was originally the Calgary Centennials. Johnson played junior hockey before playing for University of Minnesota Duluth with Brett Hull in 1984. He graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School in 1980. During his career Johnson played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, Washington Capitals and Phoenix Coyotes.
