Pine Bluff is the tenth-most populous city in the US state of Arkansas and the county seat of Jefferson County. It is the principal city of the Pine Bluff Metropolitan Statistical Area and part of the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Pine Bluff Combined Statistical Area. The population of the city was 41,253 in the 2020 census.
Pine Bluff High School (PBHS) is a comprehensive public high school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, United States. It, a part of the Pine Bluff School District, is the largest of two public high schools in the Pine Bluff city limits and three public high schools in Jefferson County. Established in 1868, the school's interscholastic sports programs are one of the nation's most successful with a football national championship and one of the state's highest number of state championships in football, baseball and track and field.
The Arkansas State League was an American minor league baseball league that played in various seasons between 1894 and 1935, forming three different times. The first version was in operation in 1894, followed by an 1897 league. The Class D level league operated from 1908 to 1909 in Arkansas and Louisiana and also in 1934 to 1935 in Arkansas and Missouri. In 1936, the league evolved to become the Arkansas-Missouri League. Little Rock and Rogers each won two league championships.
Watson Chapel High School is a comprehensive public high school in the Watson Chapel School District in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, that serves grades 10 through 12. It is one of two public high schools in Pine Bluff and the only high school managed by the Watson Chapel School District. It serves as the main feeder school for Watson Chapel Junior High School.
The Falmouth Commodores are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. The Commodores play their home games at Arnie Allen Diamond at Guv Fuller Field in Falmouth.
Benjamin McGee Jr. is an American former football player and coach. He played professionally as a defensive end for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at Jackson State University. McGee served as head football coach at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff for four seasons, from 1980 to 1983, compiling a record of 17–22–4.

James E. Lytle Jr. was an American football, basketball, baseball, and golf coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Morris Brown College in Atlanta in 1927, Shaw University from 1928 to 1929 and again from 1934 to 1954, and Arkansas Agricultural, Mechanical & Normal College —now known as University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff—from 1930 to 1931. Lytle was also the athletic director at Shaw from 1957 to 1978.
The Arkansas–Pine Bluff Golden Lions represent the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in intercollegiate athletics. They field sixteen teams including men and women's basketball, cross country, tennis, and indoor and outdoor track and field; women's-only softball, volleyball, and soccer; and men's-only baseball, football, and golf. The Golden Lions and Lady Lions compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Until 1972, the athletic program was known as the Arkansas AM&N Golden Lions.
Taylor Field is a baseball stadium at 1201 East 16th Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The stadium was built in 1939–40 with funding support from the Works Progress Administration and a design by local architect Mitchell Seligman. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. The stadium played host until 1955 to minor league baseball teams, including the Pine Bluff Judges. Its grandstand has a capacity of about 1800, with another 600 in the bleachers. The field is 315 feet (96 m) down the foul lines and 390 feet (120 m) to center field.
Joey Kawika Wong is an American former professional baseball infielder who played internationally for the Chinese national baseball team in 2017, and is currently a coach at Oregon State University. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 24th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball draft.
