Jimmy Autry State Prison is a state prison located in Mitchell County, near Pelham, Georgia. [1] It was constructed in 1992 and opened in 1993.
Autry houses close security inmates who, due to their offense or behavior, would not be safe in the general prison population. Sex offender treatment is compulsory. Various religious activities are offered and are well attended. Vocational options consist of Footwear Manufacturing, Buffer Repair, and Food Preparation. The prison compound consists of eight buildings. Six buildings maintain two cell units which have 48 double-bunked beds in each. Building seven has four living areas with 92 beds in each. The last building holds one dorm with 85 double-dunks and a segregation hall of 47 beds. [1]
Autry state prison, as of 2020, offers two programs for inmate recreation. These include a Bee Keeping program and an Art Workshop. Due to lack of adequate security inmates are not currently able to fully participate in all of the camp's programs.
Autry was one of nine Georgia state prisons implicated in an FBI sting operation announced in February 2016. The agency indicted 47 correction officers who'd agreed to deliver illegal drugs while in uniform. These charges were "part of a larger public corruption investigation into Georgia Correctional Facilities". [2]
Minnesota Correctional Facility – Oak Park Heights (MCF-OPH) is Minnesota's only Level Five maximum security prison. The facility is located near the cities of Bayport and Stillwater. The facility is designed and employed with trained security officers to handle not only Minnesota's high-risk inmates but other states' as well. They also have the largest contract to house federal inmates with serious, violent histories. The prison has never had an escape, and only one homicide.
Fishkill Correctional Facility is a multi-security level prison in New York, United States. The prison is located in both the Town of Fishkill and the City of Beacon in Dutchess County. Fishkill was constructed in 1896. It began as the Matteawan State Hospital for the Criminally Insane.
The Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW) is a state prison for women owned and operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in Marysville, Ohio. It opened in September 1916, when 34 female inmates were transferred from the Ohio Penitentiary in Columbus. ORW is a multi-security, state facility. As of July 2019, 2,394 female inmates were living at the prison ranging from minimum-security inmates all the way up to one inmate on death row. It was the fifth prison in the United States, in modern times, to open a nursery for imprisoned mothers and their babies located within the institution. The Achieving Baby Care Success (ABC) program was the first in the state to keep infants with their mothers.

The Baldwin State Prison, previously the Baldwin Correctional Institution and the Georgia Women's Correctional Institution (GWCI), is a prison located in Milledgeville, Georgia, United States, with a Hardwick postal address. The prison has a capacity of 900. After complaints in the early 1990s by more than 200 women of sexual abuse by guards, an investigation was conducted. More than a dozen guards were prosecuted. The state decided to move the women to other prison facilities for a total change in culture. This facility now houses only adult male felons, with a capacity of 992.

Metro State Prison, previously the Metro Correctional Institution, is an American former Georgia Department of Corrections prison for women in unincorporated southern DeKalb County, Georgia, near Atlanta. Female death row inmates were held in the Metro State Prison. The prison had room for 779 prisoners. It was closed in 2011. In 2018, the prison was renovated and reopened as the Metro Reentry Facility.
Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women (LCIW) is a prison for women with its permanent pre-2016 facility located in St. Gabriel, Louisiana, United States. It is the only female correctional facility of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections. Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is immediately west of LCIW. LCIW includes the state's female death row. As of 2017 the prison has temporarily moved due to flooding that occurred in August 2016, and its prisoners are housed in other prisons. The administration is temporarily located in the former Jetson Youth Center near Baker. By 2021 the Baker area address was given for the prison on the LCIW website.
