The Arizona Republican Party is the affiliate of the Republican Party in the US state of Arizona. Its headquarters are in Phoenix. The party currently controls six of Arizona's nine U.S. House seats,sixteen of thirty State Senate seats,thirty-one of sixty State House of Representatives seats,four of five seats on the Arizona Corporation Commission and three Statewide Executive Offices

Arizona had eight seats in the House,apportioned according to the 2000 United States census. Representatives were elected for two-year terms;those elected were to serve in the 112th Congress from January 3,2011,until January 3,2013.

In 2018,Gray was appointed to fill the Arizona State Senate seat vacated by Debbie Lesko after she resigned to run for Congress. Gray would leave office on January 9,2023.

Farnsworth previously served in the House consecutively from January 10,2011 until January 14,2013 in the District 22 seat,in the District 12 seat from 2013 to 2019,and non-consecutively from January 2001 until January 2009 in the District 22 and District 30 seats. Farnsworth served in the State Senate representing District 12 from January 14,2019 to his retirement in 2021.

The district is in the West Valley portion of the Phoenix metropolitan area and includes Glendale,Surprise,Sun City,Peoria,and part of western Phoenix. A member of the Republican Party,Lesko previously served in the Arizona State Legislature from 2009 to 2018.

The 2020 United States Senate special election in Arizona was held on November 3,2020,following the death in office of incumbent Republican U.S. Senator John McCain on August 25,2018. Governor Doug Ducey was required by Arizona law to appoint a Republican to fill the vacant seat until a special election winner could be sworn in. On September 5,2018,Ducey appointed former U.S. Senator Jon Kyl to fill McCain's seat. However,Kyl announced he would resign on December 31,2018.
