Nicholas Gillingham, is an English former competitive swimmer, active in the 1980s and 1990s. Born in Walsall, he represented Great Britain in the Olympics, FINA World championships and European championships, as well as representing England in the Commonwealth Games. Medalling in two Olympic Games in 1988 and 1992, he was a World, European and Commonwealth champion in his specialist event, the 200 metres breaststroke. His career broadly overlapped with fellow British breaststroker and Olympic 100 metre breaststroke champion, Adrian Moorhouse.

Gaynor Clare Stanley is a retired British swimmer. Stanley competed in three events at the 1984 Summer Olympics. She represented England in the 200 metres breaststroke, at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Four years later she represented England in the 200 metres breaststroke, 400 metres individual medley and 800 metres freestyle, at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. She won the 1982 ASA National Championship title in the 200 metres breaststroke and the 1987 400 metres medley title.
Sarah Marie Vasey is a former British swimmer. She competed in the women's 50 metre and 100 metre breaststroke events at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. Vasey qualified for the 50 metre breaststroke final at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast, Australia and went on to win gold.
Kaylene Corbett is a South African swimmer. She competed in the women's 100 metre breaststroke event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she won the bronze medal in the 200 metre breaststroke.
Tatjana Smith is a South African professional swimmer specialising in breaststroke events. She is the former world record holder in the long course 200-metre breaststroke and is the African record holder in the long course and short course 100-metre breaststroke as well as the short course 200-metre breaststroke. At the 2022 World Short Course Championships, she placed sixth in the final of the 100 metre individual medley. In the 200 metre individual medley at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, she placed fourth in the final. At the 2021 African Championships, she won 11 gold medals, six in individual events and five in relay events, swimming on the finals relay for each of the five relay events.

Lara van Niekerk is a South African competitive swimmer. She is the current African, Commonwealth, and South African record holder in the long course 50-metre breaststroke and the African and South African record holder in the short course 50-metre breaststroke. She won gold medals in the 50-metre breaststroke at the 2018 African Swimming Championships and the 2022 Commonwealth Games as well as a silver medal at the 2022 World Short Course Championships and the bronze medal at the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in the same event. In the 100-metre breaststroke, she won gold medals at the 2018 African Swimming Championships and the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
