Joe Raposo (born 1970), of Portuguese descent, is the bassist for the seminal California punk rock band Lagwagon and QA engineer lead at Zynga. [1] He also played bass for a period of time for The Real Mckenzies [2] and Mad Caddies. [3] Additionally, Raposo plays bass for the San Francisco-based fusion group King City, with fellow Lagwagon member Chris Rest [4] as well as filling in on bass for several live shows with the Dwarves. [5] Raposo began his career in 1987 at the age of seventeen by joining California hardcore punk band Rich Kids on LSD as their new bassist [6] and remained with RKL until their hiatus in 1996. In 1995, Maximumrocknroll called Raposo "flat out the best bass player in the state of California." [7] He began playing shows with RKL again in 2003 (after they had re-formed a year prior) until their current hiatus after the death of lead singer Jason Sears. [8] Raposo joined Lagwagon in 2010, replacing original bassist Jesse Buglione. [9] Raposo also plays bass in the cover band Uke-Hunt and is the bass player for the band A Vulture Wake, which is fronted by Chad Price from the band ALL

In 2018 his band A Vulture Wake released their first full length album called The Appropriate Level of Outrage.

Derrick Plourde Musical artist

Derrick William Plourde was an American drummer, musician and artist. Born in Goleta, California, he was active from 1989 until his death in 2005. Although best known as a former member of Lagwagon, Plourde also played in several different bands like Bad Astronaut, Jaws, The Ataris, Mad Caddies and Rich Kids on LSD, among others. Besides drums, he also played guitar and was described as a multi-instrumentalist. Aside from music, he was also known as being a skilled painter and a gifted carpenter, appreciated for his off-beat sense of humor. After a long battle with drug addiction, Plourde died by suicide on March 30, 2005.

Hang is the eighth studio album by American punk rock band Lagwagon, released on October 28, 2014 on Fat Wreck Chords. It is their first in 9 years, following 2005’s Resolve and their first to feature current bassist Joe Raposo, who replaced former member Jesse Buglione. The song "Drag" was originally released in 2011 in an acoustic version on frontman Joey Cape's solo album Doesn't Play Well with Others. In February and March 2015, the band performed at Soundwave festival in Australia.

Punk Rocksteady is the seventh full-length studio album as well as the first cover album by California ska punk band Mad Caddies, which was released on June 15, 2018 by Fat Wreck Chords. It was released four years after their full-length Dirty Rice (2014). The album consists of twelve originally punk rock songs that were hand-picked by the band alongside Fat Wreck Chords owner and NOFX singer Fat Mike, who also produced the album, and transformed into their trademark reggae sound, while also using influences from other genres, like dancehall, rock music, ska, Americana and more. The entire album was made available for streaming a day before its release.

<i>Railer</i> (album) 2019 studio album by Lagwagon

Railer is the ninth studio album by American skate punk band Lagwagon, released on 4 October 2019 by Fat Wreck Chords on CD and LP. It's their first studio album in five years since Hang, which was released in 2014.
