Joe Thomas (born 29 January 1988 in Pontypridd [1] ) is a Welsh athlete specializing in the middle-distance events. He competed at the 2012 World Indoor Championships reaching the semifinals. In June 2014 he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. [2]

James Stephen Baulch is a retired Welsh sprint athlete and television presenter. He won the 400 metres gold medal at the 1999 World Indoor Championships. As a member of British 4 × 400 metres relay teams, he won a gold medal at the 1997 World Championships, and got the silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games. He represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games where he got an individual silver and a bronze medal in the 4 × 400 m relay.

Adam Piotr Kszczot is a retired Polish middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. Kszczot won three gold medals in the 800 m at both the European Outdoor and Indoor Championships. Marcin Przemysław Lewandowski is a Polish retired middle-distance runner. He won the bronze medal in the 1500 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and silver in the same event at the 2018 World Indoor Championships. Donavan Brazier is an American middle-distance runner. He holds the American junior record in the men's 800 meters and won the gold medal at the 2019 World Championships. With a time of 1:42.34, he was the American national and NACAC area record holder in the event from 2019 until 2024, when Marco Arop and Bryce Hoppel ran 1:41.20 and 1:41.67 to break the NACAC record and American record respectively.
Bryce Hoppel is an American middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800 metres. He is the reigning 800 metres world indoor champion having won gold at the 2024 World Indoor Championships in Glasgow. He also is a seven-time U.S. champion and two-time NCAA champion over the distance. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, Hoppel set an American record in the event, with a time of 1:41.67 to become the seventh fastest man and the second fastest North American man at the distance.
