Joel David McGregor (born 24 March 2006) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL League Two club Swindon Town. [3]

Career

McGregor came through the Swindon Town academy, joining as a 12-year-old in 2018. [3] He signed his first professional contract with Swindon Town on 5 June 2024. [4]

Prior to signing his deal, McGregor made his professional debut for Swindon, as he played the full 90 minutes during an EFL Trophy Group stage game against Exeter City in November 2023; which ended in a 1–0 home defeat. [5]

After featuring on the bench throughout the 2023–24 campaign, [3] McGregor went onto make his league debut on 1 April 2024, as he came on as a 74th–minute substitute for Williams Kokolo during a 3–1 away defeat against Sutton United. [6] He would go onto make a further four league appearances for The Robins before the conclusion of the season. [3]
