[3] Two months later he was reportedly being tracked by Arsenal. [4]

Dawson made no more competitive first-team appearances for Scunthorpe, but did continue to play regularly in their under-18 team. His goal in a 3–2 win over Mansfield Town was one of 10 nominees for October 2020 goal of the month. [5] By April 2021, he had scored 16 goals for the youth team during the season, and Derby County and Celtic were now being reported as interested in signing him. [6]
