Johan Edvind Pettersen (born 5 April 1887) was a Norwegian politician.

He was born in Sarpsborg to Peter Johansen Sande and Karoline Olavesen. He was elected representative to the Storting for the periods 19311933, 19341936 and 19371945, for the Labour Party. He was a member of the municipal council of Sarpsborg from 1919 to 1940. [1]

He was also the minister of Social Affairs from 1936 to 1939, and then the minister of Finance from 1939 to 1942. He was appointed Minister of Defence again in 1942 in the London-based Norwegian exile government. He continued until the election in 1945 when he became the minister of Provisioning and Reconstruction until 1948.

Sarpsborg 08 Fotballforening, commonly known as Sarpsborg 08 or simply Sarpsborg, is a Norwegian football club based in Sarpsborg, playing in Eliteserien. Sarpsborg 08 and its predecessors played in 1. divisjon from 2005 to 2010. In 2010, the club was promoted to the Tippeligaen, the top league in Norway, but finished last and was relegated back to 1. divisjon in 2011. In 2012, they were promoted again and 6 years after, they qualified for their first Europa League group stage. They play their home games at Sarpsborg Stadion.

Rosenborg became Norwegian Cup winners by beating Sarpsborg 2–1 on 25 October 1964. The goal scorers for Rosenborg were Tor Kleveland, who scored after 32 minutes, and Tore Pedersen, who scored in the 55th minute. For Sarpsborg, Martin Kjølholt scored in the 85th minute.

Tonic Breed is a Norwegian thrash and heavy metal one-man music project by Patrik K. Svendsen. Until 2019, Tonic Breed was a four pieced band, established in Sarpsborg, Norway in 2006. As of 2021, Tonic Breed has released three albums, their most recent being, Install Memory, on September 14, 2018. Besides the three studio albums, the band has also released five singles and twelve music videos.

Erling Johan Pettersen is a Norwegian theologian, priest, and since 2016, a Bishop Emeritus of the Church of Norway. Pettersen served as the Bishop of the Diocese of Stavanger in Stavanger, Norway from 2009 until his retirement in 2016.
