Johannes Oerding (born 26 December 1981) is a German singer-songwriter. He primarily records his work in German.
Oerding was born in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia and raised in Geldern-Kapellen near the border of the Netherlands. [1] His father is a country doctor, while his mother is a nurse. [1] Oerding has two brothers and two sisters. [2]
Oerding was discovered in 1999, when he performed at a local block party in Iserlohn. [1] Later, he moved to the Netherlands to earn a diploma in International Marketing at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Venlo. [3] In 2006, he relocated to Hamburg to pursue a professional music career. [1] There, he met singer-songwriter Michy Reincke, his neighbor at his new home in Barmbek-Süd, who garnered Oerding his first gigs. [3]
In 2009, Oerding his released his first single "Die Tage werden anders sein" on Columbia Records. [1] The same year, his debut album Erste Wahl was released. Oerding worked with producers Mark "Big" Smith and Sven "Chef" Bünger on the majority of the album. While it failed to chart upon its initial release, a reissue of Erste Wahl, released in 2010, peaked at number 39 on the German Albums Chart when its single "Engel" received heavy radio rotation. [4] The following year, Oerding's second album Boxer was released. It debuted at number eleven in Germany. [4]
In 2013, Für immer ab jetzt , Oerding's third studio album, was released. It became his first top ten album in Germany, debuting at number four, and was eventually certified gold by Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI). [5] The album's first two singles, "Einfach nur weg" and "Nichts geht mehr", both entered the German Singles Chart. [4] In September 2013, Oerding represented Hamburg with "Nichts geht mehr" in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2013; he finished second in the contest. [6] [7]
In 2015, Oerding released his fourth album Alles brennt . It debuted at number three on the German Albums Chart, marking his highest-charting album yet. [4] It was eventually certified gold by Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI). [5]
In 2021, he was a coach on the eleventh season of The Voice of Germany and won along with his artist Sebastian Krenz.

Maximilian Nepomuk Mutzke is a German singer, songwriter and television personality. He gained public interest in early 2004 when he won SSDSGPS, a talent contest hosted in Stefan Raab's late-night show TV total. Mutzke subsequently qualified for and won the national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, Germany 12 Points!, and thus represented Germany with his debut single "Can't Wait Until Tonight" that year, eventually finishing eighth in a field of 24 participants. Meanwhile, "Can't Wait Until Tonight" debuted atop the German singles chart and became a top five hit in Austria and Switzerland. His eponymous debut album, a mixture of soul and pop songs in German and English language, was released in January 2005 and also reached number one in Germany, where it was certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI).
Silbermond is a German pop rock band from Bautzen, Saxony. The band consists of Stefanie Kloß, Andreas Nowak, and brothers Johannes and Thomas Stolle.
Deichkind is a German electropunk band formed in Hamburg in 1997. Current members are “Kryptik Joe” alias Philipp Grütering (rapper/songwriter), Henning “DJ Phono” Besser (DJ), Sebastian “Porky” Dürre (rapper/songwriter) and Roland “Roy” Knauf (producer). Deichkind started with hip hop, later added elements of electronic dance music to its style. The band themselves call their music TechRap as a combination of techno and rap music. The songs are often satirical and criticize consumerism and the performance-oriented society.
