John B. Brunow (born October 14,1949) is a former American politician from the state of Iowa.
Brunow was born in Centerville,Iowa in 1949. He graduated from Centerville Community High School in 1967 and attended the University of Iowa from 1967 through 1971. [1]
Centerville is a city in and the county seat of Appanoose County,Iowa,United States. The population was 5,412 in the 2020 census,a decline from 5,924 in 2000. After the turn of the 20th century Centerville's coal mining industry attracted European immigrants from Sweden,Italy,Croatia,and Albania. Centerville is also home of the largest town square in the state of Iowa.
The Appanoose County Community Railroad was based out of Centerville,Iowa. It was a shortline running to the community of Albia,Iowa,where it distributed cars from Centerville to be put on the BNSF Railway's trains.
