John Sekula (January 14, 1969 – October 28, 2010) was the original guitarist for heavy metal band Mushroomhead.
Also known as J.J. Righteous, was born and raised in Parma, Ohio. Sekula was mostly identified as wearing an Ace Frehley mask, a welding mask, a troll-like monster mask and a Ghostface mask. He was replaced by Marko "Bronson" Vukcevich in 2001 after several issues with the band and its members... While attending Parma Senior High, John Sekula formed the band Terror with his brother Brian Sekula. John Sekula also played guitar for both State of Conviction and Unified Culture who are/were fronted by Mushroomhead vocalist Jason Popson.
On October 28, 2010, Sekula suffered a massive heart failure and subsequently died. He was 41 years old.[ citation needed ]

Mortiis is an electronic band from Notodden, Norway fronted by Håvard Ellefsen, who is also known as the namesake of the band. The name is a misspelling of the word "mortis", which is the pronunciation used by the band. Mortiis started as the solo project of Ellefsen as a means to convey a story. This aspect was lost over time and Mortiis slowly formed into a band. Ellefsen previously played bass in the black metal band Emperor (1991–1992), prior to forming this project in 1993. The time he spent in his previous band laid the groundworks for mixing black metal elements with various electronic genres, with these being touched upon across each "era" of the band.
Mushroomhead is an American heavy metal band from Cleveland, Ohio. Formed in 1993 in the Cleveland Warehouse District, the band is known for their avant-garde sound and horror film-inspired imagery which features masks and costumes as well as their unique live shows usually performed at smaller venues.
Michael Shawn Crahan, more commonly known by his stage persona "Clown", is an American musician. He is the co-founder and one of the percussionists for nu metal band Slipknot, in which he is designated #6. Crahan helped form Slipknot in 1995 alongside bassist Paul Gray and former vocalist Anders Colsefni. Crahan is the longest-serving and only remaining original member of Slipknot, and also has extensive involvement with Slipknot's media production and music videos. Outside Slipknot, Crahan had two side project bands called To My Surprise and Dirty Little Rabbits. Aside from his musical activity, he also directed the 2016 action thriller film Officer Downe.
Superbuick is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Mushroomhead. It was released independently in 1996. Most of the songs were later remastered on XX which was initially released through Eclipse Records, then through Universal Records after some slight modifications and two additional songs. This is their first album with Pig Benis on bass and the last with DJ Virus on samples/programming. Previous bassist Mr. Murdernickel has songwriting credits for a few tracks, as revealed when the songs were recorded and released again for XX.
M3 is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Mushroomhead. It was released independently in 1999 on their own label. There was a CD release party at their annual Halloween show on October 30. This was the final studio album with JJ Righteous and Dinner as members of the band. The album, alongside Mushroomhead and Superbuick, was reissued with alternate artwork in 2002. The songs "Before I Die", "Solitaire/Unraveling", "The New Cult King", "Xeroxed" and "Born of Desire" were later included on both the Eclipse Records and Universal Records versions of XX in 2001.
XX is a compilation album by American metal band Mushroomhead, released in 2001. It was originally released through Eclipse Records, where Mushroomhead took classic tracks and remixed them. The new single "N.F.G." was released, along with a music video in December of 2022. "The Killer Inside" is set to release 4/20/2023.
Jason Jonathan Popson is an American vocalist and rapper for metal band Mushroomhead taking the stage name J Mann. Prior to his initial departure from the band he was identified by his face paint, which was based on the film Dead Presidents. Since 2014, he has worn a mask like the rest of the band.
David Felton, known professionally as Gravy, is an American guitarist who is best known as a member of the Cleveland, Ohio-based heavy metal band Mushroomhead. He currently plays in another Cleveland-based heavy metal band Space Chupacabra.
Waylon Reavis is an American musician best known for being a former vocalist for American heavy metal band Mushroomhead. He was in Mushroomhead from 2004-2015 and with them released three albums: Savior Sorrow (2006), Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children (2010), and Righteous and the Butterfly (2014). Jeff Hatrix, also known as Jeffrey Nothing, is an American musician, best known as the former clean vocalist for the heavy metal band Mushroomhead. His nickname comes from a scene in Blue Velvet. With a wide variety of face paint and mask designs, Jeffrey's most known look is that of a butcher. However, he revealed a new look in the music video of "Your Soul Is Mine", showing a tan skin mask that somewhat resembles the infamous Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. Two of his masks were made from face-molds of famous actors Christopher Lloyd and Bela Lugosi. His most recent incarnation is that of a mask resembling human hands. He is signed as a solo artist to Suburban Noize Records.

The president of the label is Chris Poland, not to be confused with the former guitarist of Megadeth who happens to have the same name.
Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Mushroomhead. The album was released on September 28, 2010 by Megaforce Records. The first single from the album "Come On", was released on August 16, 2010. It is the band's final album to feature Pig Benis on bass and Gravy on guitar, and it is the only album to feature Lil Dan on percussion.
"Behind the Mask" is a 1979 song by the Japanese synth-pop group Yellow Magic Orchestra. The composer, Ryuichi Sakamoto, wrote the first version for a television commercial. This was expanded with the band and the British lyricist Chris Mosdell for inclusion on the 1979 Yellow Magic Orchestra album Solid State Survivor.
