John Alfred Swan was an Anglican priest in the twentieth century. [1]
Swan was educated at the Australian College of Theology. He was ordained deacon in 1940, and priest in 1941. After curacies in Nundah and Ipswich he held incumbencies in Gin Gin, Inglewood, Childers, Woolloongabba, Camp Hill, and Indooroopilly. He was Archdeacon of Lilley from 1968 to 1976; and then of Brisbane. [2]

Gin is a distilled alcoholic drink that derives its predominant flavour from juniper berries.
A gin and tonic is a highball cocktail made with gin and tonic water poured over a large amount of ice. The ratio of gin to tonic varies according to taste, strength of the gin, other drink mixers being added, etc., with most recipes calling for a ratio between 1:1 and 1:3. It is usually garnished with a slice or wedge of lime. To preserve effervescence, the tonic can be poured down a bar spoon. The ice cools the gin, dulling the effect of the alcohol in the mouth and making the drink more pleasant and refreshing to taste.
The Sydney Swans are a professional Australian rules football club, based in Sydney, New South Wales. The club competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier league.

Swan is an unincorporated community in central Smith County, Texas, United States. It is located on U. S. Highway 69, three miles north of Tyler. According to the Handbook of Texas, in "...1892 Swan had a population of 200, ten fruit growers, a blacksmith, a carpenter, two doctors, a railroad agent, three schoolteachers, three cotton gins, a general store, and a sawmill." Swan is currently home to a long-standing popular motocross track.

Barry Hall is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club, Sydney Swans and Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is considered to be one of the best forwards of the modern era, being named All-Australian, leading his club's goalkicking on eleven occasions and captaining the Sydney Swans to their 2005 AFL Grand Final victory. In July 2011, Hall created history by becoming the first player to kick 100 goals for three AFL teams.
"Victory March" is the fight song for the University of Notre Dame. The Rev. Michael J. Shea, a 1905 Notre Dame graduate and organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, wrote the music, and his brother, John F. Shea, who earned degrees from Notre Dame in 1906 and 1908, wrote the original lyrics. At the behest of his former music teacher, Professor William C. Hammond of Mount Holyoke College, Rev. Shea would first perform the song publicly on the organ of the Second Congregational Church of Holyoke, Massachusetts, where Hammond was music director, soon after completing the composition with his brother in the winter of 1908. The song would first be performed on Notre Dame's campus on Easter Sunday, 1909, in the rotunda of the Golden Dome. The lyrics were revised in the 1920s; Victory March first appeared under the copyright of the University of Notre Dame in 1928.
Swan Hill is a city in the northwest of Victoria, Australia on the Murray Valley Highway and on the south bank of the Murray River, downstream from the junction of the Loddon River. At June 2018, Swan Hill had a population of 11,103.
A gin pole is a supported pole that uses a pulley or block and tackle on its upper end to lift loads. The lower end is braced or set in a shallow hole and positioned so the upper end lies above the object to be lifted. The pole is secured with three or more guy-wires. These are manipulated to move the load laterally, with up and down controlled by the pulley or block. In tower construction, a gin pole can also be “jumped” up the completed sections of a tower to lift the higher sections into place.
Idea is the fifth album by the Bee Gees. Released in September 1968, the album sold over a million copies worldwide. The album was issued in both mono and stereo pressings in the UK. The artwork on the Polydor release designed by Wolfgang Heilemann featured a "beehive" neon lightbulb with a group photo in its base, while the North American ATCO release designed by Klaus Voormann featured a composite head made from each band member. It was their third internationally released album - the first two albums being released only in the Australian market.
Lance Franklin, also known as Buddy Franklin, is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Hawthorn Football Club from 2005 to 2013. Regarded as the greatest forward of his generation and among the greatest players of all time, Franklin has kicked 1,000 goals, the most of any current player and the sixth-most in VFL/AFL history, and has been his clubs' leading goalkicker on twelve occasions, kicking at least 50 goals in each of those seasons. He has been selected in the All-Australian team on eight occasions, including as captain in the 2018 team, and has won four Coleman Medals throughout his career, with his biggest haul coming in 2008 with Hawthorn, when he kicked 113 goals.
The black swan is widely referenced in Australian culture, although the character of that importance historically diverges between the prosaic in the East and the symbolic in the West. The black swan is also of spiritual significance in the traditional histories of many Australian Aboriginal peoples across southern Australia. Metaphoric references to black swans have appeared in European culture since long before Europeans became aware of Cygnus atratus in Australia in the 18th century.

Swan Lake is an unincorporated community located in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. Swan Lake is approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Glendora and 7 miles (11 km) south of Webb along Swan Lake Road. Swan Lake has a post office with ZIP code 38958. It is unclear when Swan Lake became an official community, but it was thought to be in the early to mid 20th century. It was started by a wealthy farmer named Bob Flautt. His labor and cotton gin were located in the most central part of his plantation. Swan Lake is actually the name of a lake about a mile north of the gin lot. Eventually the name was given to the plantation. Catfish ponds were eventually built that would parallel the gin lot. A small crop dusting airport would be installed as well as a store and post office.
Callum Mills is a professional Australian rules footballer and co-captain of the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He won the 2016 NAB AFL Rising Star Award for his outstanding breakout season.
St Patricks Church is a heritage-listed Roman Catholic church at Wallace Street, Mount Perry, North Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by F H Faircloth and built in 1904 by John Guthrie. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.
