Jonathan Thomas Langston (born April 8, 1991) is an American country musician from Loganville, Georgia. He released an extended play, Showtime, with Treehouse Records, in 2015. This was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts. His extended play, Jon Langston, was released independently in 2015. The release got better placements upon the same Billboard magazine charts.

Early and personal life

Langston was born Jonathan Thomas Langston, [1] on April 8, [2] 1991, [3] in Loganville, Georgia, to Rob and Kathryn Langston. [4] He attended Gardner–Webb University to be a player on their football team, where he was sidelined due to the effects of concussions. [5]

Music Career

His music career began at a show in Kennesaw, Georgia in 2013, where he was the opening act for Chase Rice. [6] He released an independently made extended play in 2013, Runnin' on Sunshine. [7] The extended play, Showtime, was released on May 5, 2015, with Treehouse Records. [8] This extended play was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts, where it peaked at No. 26 on the Top Country Albums chart, No. 22 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 8 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. [9] His second extended play, Jon Langston, was independently released on December 11, 2015. [10] It placed on the same Billboard magazine charts, where this time it got No. 25 on the Top Country Albums, No. 13 on Independent Albums, and No. 1 on the Heatseekers Albums. [9]

Langston is featured on the song "Yung and Dum" by American metalcore band Issues, taken from their second full-length album, Headspace , which was released on May 20, 2016. In February 2018 it was announced on his Instagram page that he would be signing a record deal with UMG Nashville.

In February 2018, Langston released the single "When It Comes To Loving You" which received considerable attention, [11] and it became the second best-selling country song of the week with 21,000 copies sold. [12] It reached No. 29 on Hot Country Songs, his second single to appear on the chart after "Right Girl Wrong Time" in 2017. [13] In August 2018 Jon was assigned to UMG Nashville imprint EMI Records Nashville and 32 Bridge Entertainment, an imprint founded by Luke Bryan. Langston made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry on February 22, 2022. [14] He released the single "Back Words" in 2022. [15]

Lifted is the second solo album by Canadian country music artist Dallas Smith. It was released in Canada on November 25, 2014 via 604 Records. The album was available for pre-order on iTunes after the release of the single "Wastin' Gas," which was released on October 28, 2014. In the United States, Lifted was instead released via Big Loud Mountain Records as a six-song EP containing only the material not released on previous EP, Tippin' Point, except for a live recording of the title track.

Cam is an American country music singer and songwriter. She began her career as a songwriter, composing material for several artists including Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus. Signing with Sony Music Entertainment, she released her debut major label EP in March 2015, Welcome to Cam Country, followed by the studio album Untamed later that same year. Her third album was The Otherside, released on Triple Tigers in 2020. Misty Edwards is an American contemporary Christian musician. Cross Rhythms has reviewed seven of her albums, 2003's Eternity, 2005's Always on His Mind, 2007's Relentless, 2009's Fling Wide, 2010's Point of Life, 2013's Only a Shadow, and 2014's Little Bird, while reviewing the extended play, 2011's Measure of Love, whereas Forerunner Music released these musical works. New Release Today has done five Behind the Song features on her songs. Edwards has seen five of her albums appear on the Billboard magazine charts, where they have achieved thirteen peak positions; the best was Only a Shadow, where it placed on the Billboard 200. Treehouse is the debut studio album by American electronic dance music duo Sofi Tukker. It was released on April 13, 2018, through Ultra Records. The album spawned seven singles, including "Best Friend", which features Nervo, the Knocks and Alisa Ueno and became Sofi Tukker's first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, reaching number 81. The song also figured in the top 20 of pop, alternative, and dance US charts. The album's second track, "Energia", received a remix, subtitled "Parte 2", with additional vocals by Brazilian singer Pabllo Vittar and additional writing by Arthur Marques, Pablo Bispo and Rodrigo Gorky. The project centers around her personal and professional setbacks over the course of several years. Lyrical themes highlight Guyton's insecurities, anxieties while on her musical journey. The project received generally a favorable response from critics as well.
