Jonathan Keeperman is a former University of California, Irvine (UCI) lecturer who uses the pseudonym "Lomez". [1] [2]

Keeperman leads Passage Publishing, also known as Passage Press, [3] an American far-right [1] [4] and "new right" [5] publisher founded in 2021 that publishes works from online personalities, reprints and new translations of fiction and nonfiction from historical fascist and reactionary authors. [1]

Publishing

Passage Publishing was founded in 2021 out of the Passage Prize, an online writing and arts competition offering a $20,000 cryptocurrency prize for selected works. The judges were neoreactionary Curtis Yarvin and self-published author "Zero HP Lovecraft." [6] Passage Publishing has published two books resulting from its Passage Prize writing and art competitions. [7] [ third-party source needed ] In 2023, Passage Prize was rebranded as "Passage Publishing," and was expanded through acquisitions of Mystery Grove Publishing [8] [ third-party source needed ] and the magazine Man's World . Passage has published compendiums from online figures Nick Land,[ citation needed ] Steve Sailer, and Curtis Yarvin. [1] Through its imprint Passage Classics, Passage Publishing also offers works by, as described by The Guardian , "radical German nationalist and militarist Ernst Jünger; Peter Kemp, who fought as a volunteer in Franco’s army during the Spanish civil war; and two counter-revolutionary Russian aristocrats, White Russian general Pyotr Wrangel and Prince Serge Obolensky". In 2024, the "Lomez" Twitter persona associated with Passage Publishing was revealed by The Guardian to be Keeperman. [4] Lomez had used anti-gay and anti-Asian slurs, referenced white nationalist memes, proposed journalists should be lynched, and conspiracy-theorized that Barack Obama is gay. [3] In an interview with The Blaze , Keeperman indicated that "Lomez" is a Seinfeld reference. [10]

Passage Publishing also engages in cultural projects, including sponsoring events. [11] [12] Fashion designer Elena Velez, a habitué of the Dimes Square scene, [13] has been sponsored by Passage [14] and cited the company and its founder as inspiration. [15]

VDARE is an American far-right website promoting opposition to immigration to the United States. It is associated with white supremacy, white nationalism, and the alt-right. Anti-Immigration in the United States: A Historical Encyclopedia describes VDARE as "one of the most prolific anti-immigration media outlets in the United States" and states that it is "broadly concerned with race issues in the United States". Established in 1999, the website's editor is Peter Brimelow, who once stated that "whites built American culture" and that "it is at risk from non-whites who would seek to change it".

Fascist has been used as a pejorative or insult against a wide range of people, political movements, governments, and institutions since the emergence of fascism in Europe in the 1920s. Political commentators on both the Left and the Right accused their opponents of being fascists, starting in the years before World War II. In 1928, the Communist International labeled their social democratic opponents as social fascists, while the social democrats themselves as well as some parties on the political right accused the Communists of having become fascist under Joseph Stalin's leadership. In light of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, The New York Times declared on 18 September 1939 that "Hitlerism is brown communism, Stalinism is red fascism." Later, in 1944, the anti-fascist and socialist writer George Orwell commented on Tribune that fascism had been rendered almost meaningless by its common use as an insult against various people, and argued that in England the word fascist had become a synonym for bully.

Ecofascism is a term used to describe individuals and groups which combine environmentalism with fascism.

Troy Southgate is a British far-right political activist and a self-described national-anarchist. He has been affiliated with far-right and fascist groups, such as National Front and International Third Position. He co-created the think tank New Right alongside Jonathan Bowden and is the founder and editor-in-chief of Black Front Press. Southgate's movement has been described as working to "exploit a burgeoning counter culture of industrial heavy metal music, paganism, esotericism, occultism and Satanism that, it believes, holds the key to the spiritual reinvigoration of western society ready for an essentially Evolian revolt against the culturally and racially enervating forces of American global capitalism".

Nick Land is an English philosopher, who has been described as "the Godfather of accelerationism". His work has been tied to the development of speculative realism. He was a leader of the 1990s "theory-fiction" collective Cybernetic Culture Research Unit after its original founder cyberfeminist theorist Sadie Plant left it. His work departs from the formal conventions of academic writing and embraces a wide range of influences, as well as exploring unorthodox and "dark" philosophical interests.

The Dark Enlightenment, also called the neo-reactionary movement, is an anti-democratic, anti-egalitarian, reactionary philosophical and political movement. The term "Dark Enlightenment" is a reaction to the Age of Enlightenment and apologia for the public view of the "Dark Ages".

Nicholas Joseph Fuentes is an American far-right political pundit, activist, and live streamer who promotes white supremacist, misogynistic, and antisemitic views. His YouTube page was permanently terminated in February 2020 for violating YouTube's hate speech policy. Fuentes has promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories against Jews and called for a "holy war" against them, and has denied the Holocaust. He has been described as a neo-Nazi by various sources. Fuentes identifies as a member of the incel movement, a supporter of authoritarianism, and as an integralist and a Christian nationalist.
