Jonathan Nesci (born June 21, 1981, Chicago, Illinois) is an American designer best known for his furniture, lighting, and exhibition design. His minimalist furniture has been exhibited at international design shows, including Design Miami, Collective Design Fair, EXPO Chicago, International Contemporary Furniture Fair, PAD London, and PAD Paris. He lives in Columbus, Indiana and formerly worked at Wright auction house in Chicago, Illinois. [1]

Career

While still working at Wright auction, Nesci's designs first appeared in 2007 at a juried group exhibition for Design Within Reach in Chicago. In 2008 he left Wright [2] to pursue a full-time career in design. Since 2007 Nesci has exhibited his works at Design Miami with Casati Gallery, Giovanni Beltran, Patrick Parish Gallery, Plusdesign Gallery, Tile Blush, and Volume Gallery. He has designed booths for Casati Gallery and Patrick Parish Gallery for Design Miami, Art Basel, EXPO Chicago and Collective Design Fair. [3]

Nesci's first solo exhibition, "The New," was at Volume Gallery in 2010, [4] and his first solo exhibition, "Nine Variations" in New York was at Patrick Parrish Gallery in 2011. [5] In 2014 Nesci created 100 unique aluminum tables for the exhibition "100 Variations," that responded to the design of Eliel Saarinen's First Christian Church. [6] and in 2015 he premiered a collection of mirrors, coffee tables, and vases at Patrick Parish Gallery in the exhibition, "Present Perimeter". [7]

His installation "100 Variations" served as a pilot project for Exhibit Columbus, which will feature more than 15 site responsive designs in the 2017 exhibition. [8] [9] Nesci is a member of the Exhibit Columbus Curatorial Team where his work focuses on the "Washington Street Installations." [10]

The theme of the fair was technological innovation, and its motto was "Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Adapts", giving out a message that science and American life were wedded. 1862 International Exhibition Worlds Fair held in London

The International Exhibition of 1862, or Great London Exposition, was a world's fair. EXPO Chicago is an international contemporary and modern art exhibition held each year in Chicago, Illinois. In 2012, it took over the duties of a prior organization, Art Chicago, which began in 1980. Art Chicago was Chicago's longest-running major contemporary art exposition, but was cancelled after the 2011 fair, by its then owner Merchandise Mart Properties due to financial problems.

Ico Migliore

Lodovico Migliore, nicknamed Ico, is an Italian architect, designer, professor and former professional ice hockey player. He is Professor at the School of Design of the Polytechnic University of Milan and he is Chair Professor of the College of Design at Busan Dongseo University in South Korea. He served as chairman of Hockey Milano Rossoblu, an ice hockey team in Elite.A based out of Milan, Italy from 2010 to 2016. He also competed in the men's tournament at the 1984 Winter Olympics.

René Romero Schuler

René Romero Schuler is an American painter and sculptor who constructs her paintings with trowels and palette knives. Schuler is inspired by the Bay Area Figurative Movement of the 1950s and '60s. She has taught painting at the Illinois Institute of Art and Chicago City Colleges, lectured at Northwestern University, and was board member of the Loyola University Museum of Art (LUMA) in Chicago.

Arik Levy was born in Tel Aviv. An artist and industrial designer, he attended the Art Center Europe in Switzerland where he graduated with distinction in 1991. Levy employs a multi-disciplinary approach in both the art and industrial design fields. His works have been included in multiple museum collections. Levy lives and works in Paris.

Bae Se Hwa (배세화) is a South Korean artist. He is famous for working with steam bent walnut wood to create fluid and elegant curves in his artwork. Bae's inspiration comes from traditional Korean's interpretation of beauty and the harmony of nature. Bae attended Hongik University in Seoul, and received his BFA in Woodworking & Furniture Design.
