The Jordanian Plastic Artist Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 based in Jordan, specialising in Plastic arts and is the first institution specializing in Fine Arts and the main representative of the Fine art movement in Jordan. And to join the membership is available to artists Jordanians and Arabs and foreigners residing in Jordan are entitled to apply for membership as far as they fulfill the requirements according to the statute of the association.
One of the main objectives of the Jordanian Artists Association is to take care of the Jordanian Fine art movement and work to help the Jordanian artist and assist them to introduced there art through exhibitions and activities nationally and internationally.
It also aims to provide artistic service to the local community through organizing various exhibitions and workshops in schools and universities in a volunteer basis. [1]
Many of Jordan's most notable artists are a member of the association, including Kassim Al-Refai and Khairy Hirzalla. [2] [3] The association has reportedly suffered from internal disorganization. [4]

Mohanna Durra, , was a Jordanian painter widely regarded as a pioneer of the Jordanian Arts Movement and for being the first to introduce Cubism and abstract art into the Jordanian visual arts community. He was a professor at the Faculty of Fine Art and Design at University of Jordan and served as the President of the Jordan Association of Fine Arts.
Jordanian art has a very ancient history. Some of the earliest figurines, found at Aïn Ghazal, near Amman, have been dated to the Neolithic period. A distinct Jordanian aesthetic in art and architecture emerged as part of a broader Islamic art tradition which flourished from the 7th-century. Traditional art and craft is vested in material culture including mosaics, ceramics, weaving, silver work, music, glass-blowing and calligraphy. The rise of colonialism in North Africa and the Middle East, led to a dilution of traditional aesthetics. In the early 20th-century, following the creation of the independent nation of Jordan, a contemporary Jordanian art movement emerged and began to search for a distinctly Jordanian art aesthetic that combined both tradition and contemporary art forms.

Khairy Hirzalla is a Jordanian painter, based in Amman. He works mainly in abstract art and expressionism.
Ragnhild Lundén is a Swedish visual artist. He lives in Gothenburg and Fiskebäckskil, Sweden. Lunden is mainly a painter, working with abstract forms in saturated warm colors, atypical for Swedish artists.

The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts is a major contemporary art museum located in Amman, Jordan. The Official inauguration of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts (JNGFA) was held under the patronage of the late King Hussein and Queen Noor Al Hussein and was Established in 1980 by the Royal Society of Fine Arts, the museum's permanent collection "comprises over 2000 works including paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, installations, weavings, and ceramics by more than 800 artists from 59 countries mainly in Asia and Africa."
Paul J. Smith was an arts administrator, curator, and artist based in New York. Smith was professionally involved with the art, craft, and design fields since the early 1950s and was closely associated with the twentieth-century studio craft movement in the United States. He joined the staff of the American Craftsmen's Council in 1957, and in 1963 was appointed Director of the Museum of Contemporary Crafts, a position he held for the next 24 years. In September 1987, he assumed the title of director emeritus and continued to work as an independent curator and consultant for museums, arts organizations, and collectors.
