Jorge G. Allen (born 12 July 1956) is a former Argentine rugby union player. He played as a flanker.
Starting with CASI, Allen was the first player of his country to play in a South African team: in 1982, he was contracted by the Natal Sharks for two seasons. [1] At the time, Allen had debuted for Argentina, against Canada, at Buenos Aires in 1981, although his absolute debut was in 1980 with the South American Jaguars representative team, who played in that year four matches against the Springboks. He was also part of the squad which won the 1985 South American Rugby Championship (only test match, against Uruguay); two years later, he was called up for the Pumas at the 1987 Rugby World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, during which he played all the three pool stage matches (Fiji, Italy and New Zealand). Allen also won the South American Rugby Championship in 1987 and 1989; in the latter year, he also played his last international match, against USA.
After the South African experience, Allen played also in Italy, for L'Aquila Rugby [2] before returning to Argentina, to San Isidro and end there his career.

The Argentina national rugby union team represents Argentina in men's international competitions, The Argentine Rugby Union. Officially nicknamed Los Pumas, they play in sky blue and white jerseys. They are ranked 5th in the world by World Rugby, making them by some distance the highest-ranked nation in the Americas.
Hugo Porta is an Argentine retired rugby union player. Considered one of the best fly-halves the sport has seen, he is an inductee of both the International Rugby Hall of Fame and IRB Hall of Fame. During the 1970s and 1980s, he played 58 times for Argentina, captaining them on 34 occasions, including leading them during the first World Cup in 1987.
Frédéric Michalak is a former French rugby union footballer. His early career was spent playing for his hometown team, Toulouse, in the Top 14 and in the Heineken Cup. He moved to South Africa to play for the Sharks in the Super 14 after the 2007 Rugby World Cup, but after just one year with the Sharks he moved back to Toulouse. He has also played over 70 tests for France to date, and is the country's leading Test point scorer, achieving that milestone in 2015. Michalak originally played scrum-half but has played mainly at fly-half. He has appeared in advertisements for companies such as Nike and Levi's.
Bryan Gary Habana OIS is a South African former professional rugby union player. Playing mainly as a wing, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. He played for the Golden Lions, the Blue Bulls and Western Province in South Africa, for the Bulls and the Stormers in Super Rugby, and for Toulon in the French Top 14, and won 124 caps for the South Africa national team.
John Eric Paul Mitchell is a New Zealand professional rugby union coach and former player who has been coaching the England Women's national team since 2023. His son is New Zealand International cricketer Daryl Mitchell.
Juan Martín Hernández is an Argentine retired rugby union player. A mainstay of the Argentina national team The Pumas. He played for the club Toulon in the French Top 14 competition. His 2010 move to Racing brought him back to the city where he had begun his professional career in 2003 with Stade Français. He has also played in the South African Currie Cup with the Sharks, and was slated to play with the Sharks in Super Rugby in 2010, but suffered a back injury that knocked him out of the Super Rugby season. Hernández is a "utility back" capable of playing at fly-half, centre, or fullback, though he generally prefers fly-half.
Philippus Albertus van den Berg is a South African former professional rugby union rugby player who played for the South Africa national rugby union team, the Springboks. His usual position was at lock. He also played for the Sharks in the international Super 14 competition.
François Philippus Lodewyk Steyn is a South African former professional rugby union player. A utility back who represented his country, he was able to play as a centre, fly-half, full-back and wing.
Patrick Jonathan Lambie is a retired South African professional rugby union player who last played for Racing 92 in the French Top 14. He announced his retirement in January 2019 due to multiple concussions.

Thomas Tekanapu Rawakata Perenara, commonly known as TJ Perenara, is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays as a half-back for the Black Rams Tokyo in the Japan Rugby League One. He has previously played for the Hurricanes in Super Rugby and Wellington in the Bunnings NPC. Perenara is the most capped Hurricane of all time with 163 caps. Perenara made his international debut for New Zealand in 2014 and played in 89 test matches until the end of his All Black career in 2024.
Brodie Allan Retallick is a New Zealand rugby union footballer, who currently plays as a lock for Kobelco Kobe Steelers in the Japan Rugby League One competition. He previously played for the Chiefs in Super Rugby and Hawke's Bay in New Zealand's National Provincial Championship.
Handré Pollard is a South African professional rugby union player who currently plays for the South Africa national team and Leicester Tigers in England's Premiership Rugby. His regular playing positions are fly-half, where he started for South Africa in their 2019 Rugby World Cup Final win, and inside-centre. He has previously played for the Bulls and Blue Bulls in his native South Africa, Osaka Red Hurricanes in Japan and Montpellier in France. The History of the Argentina national rugby union team starts with the first international played by an Argentine side against the British Isles in 1910 when they toured on South America. Argentina gained recognition in 1965, when the team toured South Africa playing a series of friendly matches there. In that tour the national team was nicknamed Los Pumas, a name that became an identity mark for Argentina, remaining to present days.
