Joseph Robert Eckland (born 22 May 2004) is an English cricketer who plays for Hampshire County Cricket Club. He is a right handed batsman and wicket-keeper. [1]
Eckland was born in Yeovil,Somerset and has represented Dorset since 2022, [2] [3] and the Hampshire Academy. [4] He represented England U19s in 2022 and 2023. [5]
Eckland signed his first rookie contract for Hampshire in March 2023. [6] He made his debut for the side in the first round of the 2023 One-Day Cup against Middlesex finishing with a score of two not out and a catch. [7] He would go on to make a further five appearances in the 2023 competition,with a high score of 72 runs against Yorkshire in York. [8] He made a further four appearances in the 2024 One-Day Cup.
Joseph Liam Denly is an English professional cricketer who plays for Kent County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional leg break bowler who plays as a top-order batsman. Denly played age group cricket for Kent and began his professional career with the county before moving to Middlesex for three seasons between 2012 and 2014. He won the Professional Cricketers' Association Player of the Year award in 2018 and was named the season's Most Valuable Player.
