Josh Herbert (born April 1, 1990) is an American musician, singer and songwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. [1] [2]
Josh Herbert was born on April 1, 1990, in the United States.[ citation needed ] He is the cousin of Jake Herbert. [3]
He began playing the guitar at the age of 10 [4] and started recording his songs at the age of 12 with his first band Restraining Order (2002) and later with his junior high school band, Brunch Sounds Great (2005). In junior high school Herbert began posting cover songs to YouTube and grow his recognition as a musician. [5]
Josh Herbert graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors in Arts. [6]
In 2015 he was contacted by The Chicks and invited to perform as an opening act for their extended DCX MMXVI World Tour in North America. [6]
Josh Herbert has also been involved in ice hockey, [7] playing for the North Pittsburgh Wildcats (1994 to 2007), the North Allegheny (2004 to 2008: State Champions in 2007 and Game MVP scoring 4 goals), the Junior B Penguins (2008), and for Slippery Rock University (2008 to 2012). [8]

Cameron Jibril Thomaz, better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is an American rapper based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He signed with local independent label Rostrum Records to release his debut studio album, Show and Prove (2006). His contract entered a short-lived joint venture with Warner Bros. Records the following year. His Eurodance-influenced 2008 single, "Say Yeah" received urban radio airplay and entered both the Rhythmic Top 40 and Hot Rap Songs charts, becoming his first minor hit.
Syria Mosque was a 3,700-seat performance venue located in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Constructed in 1911 and dedicated on October 26, 1916, the building was originally built as a "mystical" shrine for the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and designed by Huehl, Schmidt & Holmes architectural firm of Chicago. It was recognized as one of the best examples of Exotic Revival architecture.

They first gained visibility in 2006 as semifinalists in the contest, "Calling All Bands", sponsored by MySpace and Verizon Wireless, for their song "She's Just a Girl". The band had music included on the MTV series Engaged and Underage, Cribs, and Teen Wolf, as well as the direct-to-video comedy Lower Learning, starring Eva Longoria and Jason Biggs.
Slippery Rock University, formally Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, is a public university in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. SRU is a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). The university has been coeducational since its founding in 1889. SRU is fully accredited by the Middle State Commission on Higher Learning.
