Joshua James Williams (born 13 July 2004) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Southport on loan from EFL League Two club Tranmere Rovers.
Williams joined Connah's Quay Nomads in the under-8 age group. [2] He went on to help the academy win the Cymru Premier Development North in the 2022 season, losing the national title on penalties. [2] He served Wales Schools as captain and scored a hat-trick as they won the Centenary Shield in 2022. [2] He made his first-team debut in October 2021. [3] He helped Connah's Quay Nomads to win the Welsh Cup in 2024, winning the Goal of the Month award in April for his winning goal in the competition. [2] He was named as player of the match in the final as Nomads defeated The New Saints 2–1 at Rodney Parade. [4] [5]
On 1 July 2024, Williams joined League Two club Tranmere Rovers on a two-year contract. [2] [6] He scored on his debut in the English Football League, during a 3–0 win over Accrington Stanley at Prenton Park. [7]
On 1 November 2024, Williams joined National League North side Southport on an initial one-month loan deal. [8]

Connah's Quay Nomads Football Club is a Welsh professional football club based in Connah's Quay, Flintshire. They play in the Cymru Premier.
Kenneth McKenna is an English former professional footballer and manager who last worked as assistant manager of National League side AFC Fylde.
Craig Carl Curran is an English former professional footballer. Curran plays as a striker, who can operate in midfield or attack. He began his career with Tranmere Rovers, making his debut in 2007 and going on to play over 100 games for the club before joining Carlisle United in 2010 and then Rochdale two years later. He joined Irish club Limerick in 2013, returning to England the following year to play non-League football with Nuneaton Town. He then moved to Scotland in 2015, spending three years with Ross County followed by shorter spells with Dundee United and Dundee.
