Early life and high school

Jefferson attended Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada. As a senior, he averaged 17.7 points, ten rebounds, four assists, and two steals per game and helped lead his team to a Class 5A state championship. [1] Jefferson committed to play college basketball for the Saint Mary's Gaels. [2]

College career

Saint Mary's

As a freshman in 2022-23, Jefferson averaged 2.2 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. [3] In 2023-24, he averaged 10.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. After the season, Jefferson entered the NCAA transfer portal. [4]

Iowa State

Jefferson transferred to play for the Iowa State Cyclones. [5] In the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, he tallied ten points, eight rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and two blocks in a victory against Lipscomb. [6] He finished the 2024-25 season averaging 13 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. [7] Jefferson decided to return to the Cyclones for the 2025-26 season. [8] On December 11, 2025, he recorded 24 points in a comeback win over rival Iowa. [9] On January 2, 2026, Jefferson notched ten points, ten rebounds, and ten assists in a victory over West Virginia.
