Hopes and Fears is the debut studio album by the English alternative rock band Keane. It was released on 10 May 2004 in the United Kingdom and topped the UK Albums Chart upon release. It was the second best-selling British album of 2004, behind the Scissor Sisters' self-titled debut album, and has since been certified 9× Platinum by the BPI. The album returned to the top of the charts after winning a Brit Award for Best Album in February 2005.
Ty Garrett Segall is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his solo career during which he released eleven studio albums, alongside various EPs, singles, and collaborative albums, including a 2012 release recorded with his live band billed as the Ty Segall Band and another from that same year with Tim Presley of White Fence. Segall is also a member of the bands Fuzz, Broken Bat, the CIA, GØGGS, and Wasted Shirt, and is a former member of the Traditional Fools, Epsilons, Party Fowl, Sic Alps, and the Perverts.
Twins is the fifth studio album by San Francisco singer-songwriter Ty Segall. It marked his third and final release of the year, preceded by Slaughterhouse by the Ty Segall Band and Hair in collaboration with White Fence. Still in Rock described this LP as being "the darkest of all Ty Segall albums". "The Hill" was released as the lead single of the album along with an official music video. In January 2013, Segall issued the second single off the album, "Would You Be My Love", along with the video for "Thank God for the Sinners".
Sleeper is the sixth studio album by American indie rock musician Ty Segall, released on August 20, 2013 on Drag City. Recorded between January and March 2013, the album features primarily acoustic psychedelic folk compositions, and is influenced by the death of Segall's father and his subsequent estrangement from his mother.
Tim Presley is an American musician, singer and songwriter. Presley began his career playing with the hardcore punk bands Model American and The Nerve Agents. In 2004, Presley founded the psychedelic rock band Darker My Love. In 2006 he joined The Fall, playing on the LP Reformation Post TLC, and was an occasional guest musician on the band's later albums. Since 2010, Presley has released music under the name White Fence. As of January 2019, he has released seven studio albums, two live albums, and two collaborative albums with Ty Segall under that name, as well as two albums with Cate Le Bon under the name DRINKS, and a solo album, THE WiNK, under his own name.
Hair is a collaborative album between California musicians Ty Segall and Tim Presley. The album was released through Drag City Records for Record Store Day 2012, for a limited run but has however, been repressed. The album was originally intended to be a split album between the Segall and Presley, however they then decided to collaborate on all of the tracks. Presley had already previously recorded the track "I Am Not A Game," however re-recorded it for the album.
Manipulator is the seventh studio album by American rock musician Ty Segall, released on August 25, 2014 on Drag City. The album took 14 months to complete, much longer than any previous Segall release. It was also his longest album at the time, clocking in at 56 minutes. However, 3 ½ years later he released Freedom's Goblin, which surpassed the duration by roughly 18 minutes (74:48).
