"Amar Sonar Bangla" is the national anthem of Bangladesh. An ode to Mother Bengal, the lyrics were written by Bengali polymath Rabindranath Tagore in 1905, while the melody of the hymn was adopted from the Baul singer Gagan Harkara's song "Ami Kothay Pabo Tare" set to Dadra Tala. The modern instrumental rendition was arranged by Bangladeshi musician Samar Das.
ATN Bangla, 'ATN' being the acronym of the unused Asian Television Network, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel owned by Multimedia Production Company. It is based in the Kawran Bazar neighborhood of Dhaka. ATN Bangla is the first privately owned television channel and the first to broadcast on satellite in Bangladesh. The channel began broadcasting on 15 July 1997. ATN Bangla is broadcast in over 130 countries worldwide.
Purba Banglar Sarbahara Party is a communist party in Bangladesh. The party played a role in the independence struggle of the country. In the early 1970s it engaged in armed struggle supporting the new Bangladeshi state. Since then its political fortunes have dwindled, having suffered from several waves of internal divisions. The group remains active, and still carries out attacks against its opponents.
Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra was the radio broadcasting centre of Bengali nationalist forces during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. This station played an important role in the liberation struggle, broadcasting the Declaration of Independence and increasing the morale of Bangladeshis during the genocide. In 1971, radio was the only media reaching the far ends of Bangladesh. The station ran a liberation campaign throughout the liberation war.

The Shadhin Bangla football team was formed by Bangladesh Krira Samity of the Bangladeshi government in exile shortly after the start of liberation war in 1971. The team toured throughout India playing a total of 16 friendly matches to raise international awareness and economic support for the liberation war.
Gazi Mazharul Anwar was a Bangladeshi film director, producer, lyricist, screenwriter and music director. Big Brother is a 2015 Bangladeshi action romance film directed by Shafi Uddin Shafi and produced by Shamsul Alam It stars Mahiya Mahi in lead role, Shipan Mitra, Ahmed Sharif, Danny Sidak and many more. It released on 6 February 2015 throughout Bangladesh.
Anwara Begum is a Bangladeshi film actress. She has acted in more than 600 films as of 2015. She earned Bangladesh National Film Award for Lifetime Achievement (2020) from Bangladesh government. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress seven times for her roles in Golapi Ekhon Traine (1978), Sundori (1979), Sokhinar Juddho (1984), Moroner Pore (1990), Radha Krishna (1992), Banglar Badhu (1993) and Ontore Ontore (1994), and Best Actress award once for Shuvoda (1986).

Alatchakra is a 2021 Bengali war–drama film, scripted and directed by Habibur Rahman. It was Rahman's debut feature film and is based on Ahmed Sofa's eponymous autobiographical novel. The film stars Jaya Ahsan, Ahmed Rubel, Mamunur Rashid, Azad Abul Kalam, Shilpi Sarker Apu, Nusrat Jahan Jerry, and Syed Mosharrof in the leading roles. Alatchakra was the first Bengali-language or Bangladeshi film to be released in 3D.
Churiwala is a 2001 Bangladeshi film directed by Shah Alam Kiran and stars Ferdous Ahmed and Soumitra Chatterjee in the lead roles. The film received National Film Award in three and Bachsas Awards in two categories.
AKM Nowsheruzzaman, better known as Nowsher, was a Bangladeshi footballer who played as a striker or left-winger. In 1971, he toured India with the Shadhin Bangla football team in order to raise international awareness about the Bangladesh Liberation War. After liberation, he was also part of the first ever Bangladesh national football team.
