Umeshkumar Tilak Yadav is an Indian cricketer who represented the Indian cricket team. He currently plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket and Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League. He played 57 test matches for India and his fast-bowling contributed of India winning test matches particularly at home. Yadav was a member of the team that won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Bhausaheb Babasaheb Nimbalkar was an Indian first-class cricketer who is remembered for his innings of 443 not out in the 1948–49 Ranji Trophy match between Maharashtra and Kathiawar. At the time,it was the second-highest score in the history of first-class cricket. It remains the Indian record and is also the highest score by a batsman who never played in Test cricket. Nimbalkar was a right-handed batsman whose career spanned the seasons from 1939/40 to 1963/64. He played for six first-class teams:Baroda,Maharashtra,Holkar,Madhya Bharat,Rajasthan,and Railways. He was an occasional wicket-keeper and a right-arm fast-medium bowler.

The 1937–38 Ranji Trophy was the fourth edition of the Ranji Trophy,an annual first-class cricket tournament in India. Matches were played from 17 October 1937 to 24 February 1938 with a total of 18 teams participating. The sides were divided into four zonal groups,but the tournament utilised a knockout format. Hyderabad defeated the defending champions Nawanagar in the final.
The 1957–58 Ranji Trophy was the 24th season of the Ranji Trophy. Baroda won the title defeating Services in the final. Vidarbha made their debut in the competition.
The 1977–78 Ranji Trophy was the 44th season of the Ranji Trophy. Karnataka won their second title defeating Uttar Pradesh.
Mukesh Shamsunder Narula is an Indian cricket coach and former player. His domestic career as an all-rounder for Baroda spanned from 1985 to 1996,and included a number of matches for West Zone in the Duleep and Deodhar Trophies. He was the head coach of Canada from 2014 to 2015.
Prem Bhatia was an Indian cricketer. He played 55 first-class matches for Delhi between 1958 and 1969,scoring more than 2,500 runs. Bhatia also made 1 first-class appearance for Gujarat against Baroda in the 1973–74 Ranji Trophy,while also making 1 List A appearance for North Zone against South Zone in the 1984–85 Deodhar Trophy.
Alan Nanik Sippy is a former Indian cricketer who played first-class and List A cricket for Bombay between 1984 and 1991. He was Sachin Tendulkar's first batting partner in first-class cricket. He is now a businessman in India.
