The politics of Spain takes place under the framework established by the Constitution of 1978. Spain is established as a social and democratic sovereign country wherein the national sovereignty is vested in the people,from which the powers of the state emanate.
The Congress of Deputies is the lower house of the Cortes Generales,Spain's legislative branch,the upper house being the Senate. The Congress meets in the Palace of the Parliament in Madrid.
Guadalupe Victoria,born JoséMiguel Ramón Adaucto Fernández y Félix,was a Mexican general and politician who fought for independence against the Spanish Empire in the Mexican War of Independence and after the adoption of the Constitution of 1824,was elected as the first president of the United Mexican States. He was a deputy in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies for Durango and a member of the Supreme Executive Power following the downfall of the First Mexican Empire,which was followed by the 1824 Constitution and his presidency. He later served as Governor of Puebla.
The National Assembly is the federal legislature of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,which was first elected in 2000 under the 1999 constitution. It is a unicameral body made up of a variable number of members,who are elected by a "universal,direct,personal,and secret" vote partly by direct election in state-based voting districts,and partly on a state-based party-list proportional representation system.
The Chamber of Deputies,officially the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation,is the lower house of the Argentine National Congress. It is made up of 257 national deputies who are elected in multi-member constituencies corresponding with the territories of the 23 provinces of Argentina by party list proportional representation. Elections to the Chamber are held every two years,so that half of its members are up in each election,making it a rare example of staggered elections used in a lower house.
The Independent Movement of Absolute Renovation is a political party in Colombia,founded in 2000 by 51,095 Colombians led by lawyer and former senator Carlos Alberto Baena and Alexandra Moreno Piraquive. The party also has functions as a non-profit organization. It has representation in the Chamber of Representatives and in the Senate of the Congress of Colombia,and has also participated in the public corporations of Colombia at a regional level,being stated as the eighth-most influential political force in the country.
The 1977 Spanish general election was held on Wednesday,15 June 1977,to elect the Spanish Cortes of the Kingdom of Spain. All 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies were up for election,as well as all 207 seats in the Senate.
The Spanish order of precedence is currently prescribed by Royal Decree 2099/1983. The decree establishes the order of precedence of national official activities as well as common regulations to activities organised by municipalities,autonomous communities and other public institutions. The general order established by the decree is modified if the event takes place in the capital,Madrid,instead of elsewhere in Spain.

The president of the National Assembly is the presiding officer (speaker) of the National Assembly,Venezuela's unicameral legislature. The president's term coincides with the term of the legislature. The post has existed since the election of the first National Assembly in 2000. Before the creation of the National Assembly with the adoption of the 1999 constitution,the country's legislature was the bicameral Congress,which contained the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The last president of the Senate was Luis Alfonso Dávila,and the last president of the Chamber of Deputies was Henrique Capriles Radonski.
The Supreme Executive Power was the provisional government of Mexico that governed between the fall of the First Mexican Empire in April 1823 and the election of the first Mexican president,Guadalupe Victoria,in October 1824. After Emperor Iturbide abdicated,the sovereignty of the nation passed over to Congress,which appointed a triumvirate,made up of Guadalupe Victoria,Pedro Celestino Negrete,and Nicolas Bravo,to serve as the executive,while a new constitution was being written.
The last use of capital punishment in Spain took place on 27 September 1975 when two members of the armed Basque nationalist and separatist group ETA political-military and three members of the Spanish anti-Francoist Marxist–Leninist group Revolutionary Antifascist Patriotic Front (FRAP) were executed by firing squads after having been convicted and sentenced to death by military tribunals for the murder of police officers and civil guards. Spain was Western Europe's only dictatorship at the time and had been unpopular and internationally isolated in the post-war period due to its relations with Nazi Germany in the 1930s and 1940s and the fact that its autocratic leader,Francisco Franco,had come to power by overthrowing a democratically elected government. As a result,the executions resulted in substantial criticism of the Spanish government,both domestically and abroad. Reactions included street protests,attacks on Spanish embassies,international criticism of the Spanish government and diplomatic measures,such as the withdrawal of the ambassadors of fifteen European countries.
The LXIV Legislature of the Congress of the Union,the 64th session of the Congress of Mexico,convened on 1 September 2018 and ended on 31 August 2021. It was composed of the 500 federal deputies and 128 senators elected in the 2018 Mexican general election. While the deputies served only in the 64th Congress,the senators,elected to six-year terms,also formed the Senate in the 65th Congress,which convened in 2021.

Juan Emilio Ameri is an Argentine retired politician,who was a National Deputy representing Salta Province from 2019 to 2020. A member of the Victory Party,Ameri assumed office on 12 December 2019 to fill in the vacancy left by Sergio Leavy. Ameri was expelled from Congress in September 2020 following a sex scandal during a live parliamentary commission meeting.
