Education and Early Career

Burchuladze graduated from Georgian Technical University with a degree in banking.

He began his career as an intern at the Department of American Countries within Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998-1999) and later worked as an economist at the National Bank of Georgia.

Professional Experience: (1998-2001): He was manager of family owned businesses. commercial director of LLC Luxe (trade and Real estate), commercial director of AYET (Construction company) (2001-2011): Banking (2001): National bank of Georgia, Liquidator of commercial banks (2011): Director of business development, Tera Bank. Financial Manager at the Embassy of Georgia in the U.S. (2010-2015): Burchuladze managed financial operations at the Georgian Embassy in Washington, D.C. Roles at Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (2015-2019): He served as Executive Director and First Deputy Executive Director, overseeing various development projects. Deputy Minister of Defence (2019-2021): Before he was appointed Minister, Burchuladze was the Deputy Minister of Defence. Tenure as Minister of Defence: Appointed on February 22, 2021, Burchuladze led initiatives to strengthen Georgia's defense capabilities and enhance cooperation with international partners. He played a pivotal role in the Georgia Defense and Deterrence Enhancement Initiative, aimed at elevating Georgia's Post-Ministerial Activities: After resigning on February 8, 2024, Burchuladze was offered the position of Georgia's Ambassador to NATO. He expressed gratitude for the offer and indicated he would likely accept the position after a brief hiatus.

Personal Life: Burchuladze is married and has eight children. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Russian, and Turkish. Throughout his career, Juansher Burchuladze has been instrumental in advancing Georgia's defense policies and fostering international partnerships.
