The Jeux de la Francophonie are a combination of artistic and sporting events for the Francophonie, mostly French-speaking nations and former colonies of France, held every four years since 1989.

Alexandre Najjar is a Lebanese and French writer, lawyer and literary critic. He was born in Beirut and studied at Panthéon-Assas University and University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. In addition to poetry and novels, he has written non fiction works like the biography of Khalil Gibran, the author of The Prophet., a book about the 1936 Summer Olympic Games in Nazi Germany and a book about the Arab Spring.
Guillaume Thierry is a track and field athlete from the Republic of Mauritius. He first represented his country at pole vault in which he competed at the 2003 World Youth Championships in Athletics held in Sherbrooke, Canada. He now competes in the decathlon and holds the Mauritian national record set on 11–12 September 2013 in Nice, France at the VII Francophone Games. He is the first Mauritian ever to score more than 7000 points in this event.
Dylan Borlée is a Belgian sprinter who competes in the 400 metres. He is a member of the Borlée family.

Algeria competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. On 17 August, judo events began two days before the opening ceremony on the first day, Algeria achieved 9 medals, including two gold medals by Wail Ezzine in weight 66 kg and Faïza Aissahine in weight 52 kg. On the second and last day were content with only two medals silver and bronze.

As of July 2017, he has won a silver medal in the Hip-hop dance category at the VIII Jeux de la Francophonie in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, competing together with the Moroccan national team 04 Lkarwa.
Aziza Chakir is a Moroccan judoka. She is a bronze medalist at the African Games and a four-time medalist at the African Judo Championships. She is also a bronze medalist at the Jeux de la Francophonie.
Sinali Alima Outtara is an Ivorian pole vaulter, who is the national record holder in indoor and outdoor pole vault events. She won a bronze medal at the 2010 African Championships in Athletics, a silver medal at the 2011 All-Africa Games, and a bronze medal at the 2015 African Games.
Vonjiniaina, is a contemporary Malagasy artist, gold medalist in sculpture at the fifth Jeux de la Francophonie in 2005.
Freddy Tsimba is a sculptor and visual artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has made sculptures from bullet casings collected on Congolese war battlefields. One of his artwork entitled Au-delà de l'espoir was commissioned by the municipality of Ixelles in Brussels and installed on the corner of Chaussée de Wavre and Longue-Vie street in Matonge district.
Hamza Dair, also spelled Hamza Daier, is a Moroccan sprinter specializing in the 400 metres. He won gold medals at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games and 2023 Jeux de la Francophonie in the 4 × 400 m relay, and he is an individual silver medalist at the 2023 Arab Games and 2022 Mediterranean Games as well.
