Multnomah County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census,the county's population was 815,428. Multnomah County is part of the Portland–Vancouver–Hillsboro,OR–WA metropolitan statistical area. The state's smallest and most populous county,its county seat,Portland,is the state's most populous city.
Outside In is a medical and youth service nonprofit organization in Portland,Oregon,United States that provides primary care and "wraparound services" for low income and homeless clients. Diane Maura Rosenbaum is an American politician in the US state of Oregon who was the majority leader of the Oregon State Senate. She was a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives,representing District 42 from 1998 to 2009. She served as speaker pro tempore. In the 2008 elections,she ran unopposed for the Oregon State Senate,replacing Kate Brown,who was elected secretary of state. She won reelection to District 21 in 2012 after defeating Republican Cliff Hutchison.

Wapato Corrections Facility is a building that was originally built as a Multnomah County jail in 2003 in the heavy industrial area of St. Johns neighborhood of Portland. It has never been put into service as a jail and was kept vacant until it was repurposed into the Bybee Lakes Hope Center,which opened in October 2020. It is the largest homeless shelter in Oregon.

Eric Zimmerman was elected to Portland City Council in 2024 in District 4,along with Olivia Clark and Mitch Green. Zimmerman is one of the twelve inaugural members of Portland's new expanded city council after switching from a city commission government to a mayor–council government. Due to the close nature of his race,Zimmerman was one of the last two confirmed winners of the election.
