Jennifer Abel is a Canadian former diver. She is currently partnered with Mélissa Citrini-Beaulieu for synchronized diving. Abel is a four-time Commonwealth Games champion in the 1 m and 3 m synchronized springboard; and is also a three-time Pan American Games champion in the 3 m springboard and 3 m synchronized springboard. Her ten medals at the FINA World Championships are a record for most medals by a Canadian in diving at the world championships.
Bryan Nickson Lomas is a former Malaysian diver. Lomas was the youngest Malaysian athlete to qualify for 2004 Summer Olympics when he was 14. He became the country's first world junior diving champion after winning gold at the 3 m springboard event in the World Junior Championships held at Belém, Brazil in 2004. He trained under the coaching of Yang Zhuliang. Lomas is named after the footballer Bryan Robson by his father.
Cao Yuan is a Chinese diver and an Olympic gold medalist, having won four golds, one silver and one bronze in the Olympics. He has also won golds in diving at the World Championships and World Cups. Cao is considered the best male diver of all time.
The diving competitions at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place from 7 to 20 August at Maria Lenk Aquatic Center in Barra da Tijuca. It was one of four aquatic sports at the Games, along with swimming, water polo, and synchronised swimming.
Simone Ashley Manuel is an American professional swimmer specializing in freestyle events. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, she won two gold and two silver medals: gold in the 100-meter freestyle and the 4×100-meter medley, and silver in the 50-meter freestyle and the 4×100-meter freestyle relay. In winning the 100-meter freestyle, a tie with Penny Oleksiak of Canada, Manuel became the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic gold in swimming and set an Olympic record and an American record. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won a bronze medal as the anchor of the American 4×100-meter freestyle relay team.

Diving competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 10 to 13 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Due to naming rights the arena were known as the latter for the duration of the games. Due to Pan American Games being scheduled to be held roughly around the same time as the 2015 World Aquatics Championships scheduled for Kazan, Russia, the diving begin on the day of the opening ceremony. A total of eight diving events were held: four each for men and women.
Maddison Keeney is an Australian diver. She is a dual Olympic medalist, winning a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She has also won gold medals at the 2017 and 2019 World Aquatics Championships and 2022 Commonwealth Games, and silver medals at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Yona Roshen Knight-Wisdom is a diver. Born in England, he represents Jamaica internationally. He competed at the 2016, 2020 Summer Olympics and at the 2024 Summer Olympics. He placed 2nd in the 1 metre springboard event at the 2019 Pan American Games. He was the first Jamaican male diver and first Caribbean male diver at an Olympic Games.
Micaela Bouter is a South African diver. She competed in the women's 3 metre springboard event at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. She finished in 35th place in the preliminary round. She attended and competed in diving at the University of Houston. In July 2021, she qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics in the women's 3 metre springboard, representing South Africa.
